Q: Can these be taken apart, cleaned and reused? We use these to hand feed formula to hatchling birds.

Yes they can. We have some that are around 2 years old. The key is to NOT soak the plungers. If you do it either strips away the lubricant or makes them stiff. I soak the tube and caps in HOT soapy water for 15 to 20. minutes. Then grab a plunger and insert in to tube and push and pull several times kinda fast while holding it under the soapy water. Then I pull it apart and while rinsing the tube in a stream of hot water I rub the rubber plunger with my thumb under the soapy water to work off any residue. Then rinse the plunger and lay them on a double layer of paper towels to air dry. Before I start I sanitize my sink and counter.

Q: Are these dishwasher safe on the top rack?

They should be if you do not do high temperature wash. We recommend hand washing them. Thanks for interest.
