Will a technics sl-q2 have any issues with this head shells extra weight with a denon dl-103 mc cartridge mounted on it?

I doubt it I use it with a DL 103 mounted on a 16 gram eff mass tonearm, as long as your counterweight will balance it for 2 grams tracking you will be fine

How is the azimith locked into postion?

The Azimuth is adjusted and locked by a very small Allen head set screw. I highly recommend this headshell. I purchased two of them.

Will this fit a techncis sl-q3 standard s shaped tonearm?

Yes it fits the SL-Q3 tonearm. Note that the headshell weights 12g. Please check the owners manual when choosing a cartridge so that the combined headshell and cartridge weight is compatible with the tonearm.Best regards,LP GEAR
