We recently got another German Shepard puppy and I wanted to buy another leash for the new pup. I then realized I've had the same leash for my other shepard for almost 8 years and its still perfect. My last leash was purchased prior to ecommerce being what it is today and I purchased from our trainer and I was excited to find it on Amazon and ordered. The other (2 layer) leash has endured puppy training, been drug all over the yard, though mud/water/snow, been on many walks and still functions perfect without any tears or rips and the clasp still works perfect. The new leash appears to be identical to the old leash, so I expect the same from it. I will be ordering more! My only wish is that they were also offered in longer lengths. A 15 and 20ft would be great for training.

I have a 60lb basset with occasional pulling issues. The leash seems to be holding up well. Leash is good quality and heavy with a padded handle. Have had approx 1 month and used daily. Very pleased so far.

Bought this based on the description that it was sturdy and chew proof. Well, it was sturdy for sure but, chew proof, not so much. However, in its defense, nothing is chew proof over time with an American Bulldog. Spike jaws will win every time! That said, he did damaged this leash but, I was still impressed with the material strength and quality of the stitching. I just ordered two more based on my experience. I just have to watch Spike when he is bored and wants to chew on something.

Sturdy leash

20 lb dog that has tantrums periodically on walks can’t grab and chew this leash. It takes all the fun out of her protests so she has stopped. I love the hand loop being padded. I no longer have to worry about her chewing through the leash like I did with the last one.

I provided 4 stars for this product based on the seller's responsiveness and willingness to address my issue in a very timely manner. I bought two leashes from this seller: one was reflective and one not reflective. The reflective leash, as much as I loved it - it really is solid and looks very nice - had major issues with the buckle/clasp. I would be walking my dog - or simply standing in the foyer getting ready to head outside - and the leash would simply (with no effort at all) come loose from the collar. This happened at least four times within two weeks and was of great concern because I would be absolutely devastated if my dog broke free and ran off. I noticed from reading reviews more thoroughly that this has been a problem for others as well. The leash that is NOT reflective (used for my other dog) thus far has had zero issues with the clasp. That said, I did email the seller about the reflective leash (asking for either a replacement or a refund, whatever would be easiest) and the seller actually refunded me the full amount for BOTH leashes. I'm hoping the issue of the metal buckle/clasp will be remedied at some point because I would - should this be fixed - buy again. The nylon leash itself is fabulous. The seller is professional and responsive.

This leash is great! It’s thick and sturdy while not being too heavy. It works just fine for our four-month-old labrador puppy. We are sure it will work perfectly when he grows up as well. This is much better than all the other pricer options we were considering!! Not too sure about the chew-proof part of it because our pup hasn’t gotten to it yet but I think that would depend on the dog.

My dog chewed the leash in one minute with no effort.

The media could not be loaded.  I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt I should this time!I had previously just purchased cheaper fabric leads from PetPlanet and Petstuffgalore before I found these on Amazon. With a similar price, these PetsLovers Club leads have 2-layer webbing design which is VERY thick material and the padded handle makes going for a walk very comfortable. The cheap leads I had bought previously would leave fabric burns if my Husky pulled too hard, but not these ones! My best friend actually bought the blue color for her Laboratory and her dog gets so many likes on her social networking site. Her family is buying a couple of more of these leads for their Labrador dog owners’ group.I can see why so many people on Amazon.com are enjoying these leads too (If you scroll down to the bottom of this page you can see a link to Amazon.com with the star rating).If you’re after a high quality lead, I highly recommend you consider purchasing, you won’t be disappointed :-)P.S. Wanted to give this a fair trial before reviewing - I love this! Personally I find the length perfect, I can gather it up for heelwork and then let it out when we're away from the roads. Very comfortable in my hand, which is always pleasant when you have an excitable Labrador bouncing on the end!You can definitely tell where our excitable puppy has tried to chew it (only slightly!), but it is lasting far better than his original lead which he frayed within a week! My own fault for not paying attention whilst we're waiting to cross the road!Overall an amazing lead, if it ever gets chewed to the point of being dangerous to walk our dog with I'll be sure to get another!

We search for a identical replacement to our previous one of these it's so good. OK so I took the dog in the sea with the other one, and was camping and it's didn't get all the salt washed off. That and having been well used for a year or so for our pulling German Shepherd, we wanted a replacement in an alternative colour. So much so we got one from America!The lead is longer than standard length so the dog gets a chance to sniff in the hedge without us being in there with her. The clip strong, but our first one has twisted slightly, but not surprising the amount it has been used. The cushioned handle is bar far the best bit, kind to your hands, even ones that have been broken.The webbing makes it strong. The colours are bold and bright.Despite having dogs in the family for over 50 years - this is the best leave we've ever had.

A very impressive lead, extremely strong and well made.I prefer 2 layer (double thickness) leads as they last much longer than standard ones and are far easier to repair when my Staffie decides to take a chunk (or two) out of his.Provided you are happy with the length, I doubt if you will find a better fabric dog lead on the market.It's a shame they do not make a range of lengths as personally I prefer a lead length of 3 to 4 feet.

Good quality lead, more than strong enough for our 30kg German Shepherd / Husky cross. It's longer than most leads, which allows the Husky instinct of our dog to kick in and walk ahead of us on very narrow footpaths. It does mean that when the dog stops to sniff something that a little more care is required to prevent her stepping over the lead and getting a front leg tangled.Recommended.
