The Boardman Tasker Omnibus. Joe Tasker & Peter Boardman

With a massive Mountaineering Books library i already have both Pete Boardman books and one of Joe Tasker's but you just have to have 'The Boardman Tasker Omnibus'. The collection would not be complete without this magnificent journey reading about two of our legends - easy to read, great literature and feeds the mind. Get out there, do it, then come home - bottle of red, roaring open fire and The Omnibus. That's the way to spend the Winter Season! Beat that ...

I loved the books in this omnibus edition, especially those by Joe Tasker; I've read quite a few mountaineering books and these are my absolute favourites ! One problem though - for some reason this edition is blighted by a huge amount of punctuation errors, literally hundreds and hundreds of them. Commas, especially, are used randomly throughout the book. Decoding the garbage this resulted in became wearing and detracted from the enjoyment of these fine books. Buy a different edition !!

A tremendously insightful collection of books into the minds and experiences of two of the most technical, ambitious and innovative climbers that Britain has ever produced. Stories that will leave you astonished and humbled and quite simply, want to get out there yourself!

I am thoroughly enjoying the different books in the the omnibus. I have alresady read books by Joe Tasker and am enjoying Pete Boardman's style of writing. It is even more poignant when I know that both young men lost their lives in an avalanche

Excellent books. Very nicely compiled. Meets every expectations. More so, as I have been in some of the Himalayan areas, described in the book.
