New Rear Step Bumper ASSY Chrome 1999-2006 Chevy Siverado Gmc Sierra 2500HD 3500

Looks great on my 01 Chevy 2500 hd. Great price. Old one was rusted bad when I bought the truck used. New Chrome looks great!! Delivered on time. No damage from shipping. All hardware included. Installed it myself. Another person helping would have been would have made installation easier. There was no instructions but no problem for me because I’ve turned a wrench or two in my day. If you’re an idiot and write a review and give a bad rating on a product because it has no instructions- you probably should not try fixing stuff yourself. Other reviews complained about damage from shipping. Well, there’s a thing on here that’s says “contact seller”. Duh. And if something doesn’t fit ask yourself- Did I give them all the correct information?? There IS a difference in 1500, 2500, 2500hd etc... Once again- Duh. If you don’t know how to order parts- Don’t do it yourself. I could go on and on about stupid people but I won’t.

Got this for my ‘02 Chevy 2500HD Silverado.Exact fit, couldn’t have been any easier to install. I had sprayed all bolts several times with penetrating oil over the last two weeks, they all came right out. I did reuse them as they were 10.9 grade bolts. The ones that came with new bumper are 4.8 butter bolts. I’m sure they would work fine but if I ever need to take them out they will be rusted to much and probably need to be cut out. The only thing that wasn’t exactly the same was holes for wire harness clips. New bumper’s holes were twice as big as original, I just drilled new holes so I could reuse clips. Bumper is built heavy, glad I paid extra to get this one. Took a couple hours to remove old and install new bumper. Could do it quicker but I’m picky on cleaning everything up as I go.

I ordered and returned two of these from other suppliers here on Amazon. They came with warped plastic that didn’t fit or line up correctly. This one is much better, plastic ends meet the bumper neatly. Cheap metal don’t know how long it will last but nice fix up on my ‘04 2500HD.

Looks good, but definitely not factory built quality. I used the factory mounting brackets and factory hardware. Much better quality. Hopefully bumper holds up for afew years before rusting out. It’s a very low quality make bumper, but looks much better than a rusted out 23 year old bumper

So here is what happened with mine. I put it on (was relatively easy). I went on a hunting trip, and 10 days later came home and went to wash my truck. That's when I noticed what I thought was mud/road grime on the bumper. It was totally covered in rust...like underneath, outside. Everywhere......10 days after opening it from the box. I sent pictures, and a copy of my receipt, and they refunded it without questions. It made me think this is common and they didnt want to deal with it. Be aware buyers. I did a pile of research before purchasing, and was fooled. Having a big item like this shipped & installed isnt a little task. Should be fun replacing again. Dont purchase folks, waste of money

I have bought thousands of items on Amazon. This is my first review. The bumper was perfect. Identical to the factory bumper. The only extra thing that I needed was the spare tire tube cover clip. I destroyed mine getting it off and ordered a new one from amazon for $11.00. Go ahead and get one of those because you will need it. This even came with the wire harness and lights for the license plate illumination so feel free to tear yours up when you take them off. I used this on a 2006 Silverado 2500 HD.

I’m glad that I spent a few more dollars for this bumper than it’s cheaper counterparts. This product fit perfectly and looks great. The mounting hardware is a little lighter duty than the factory, but I did not order from GM did I.Long story short. It works and looks great. Buy this one unless the headache of dealing with the others is worth the $20-$30 dollar savings.
