Hard to read, and must be stored in a cool, dry location
These salt test strips are very hard to read accurately, and the printed charts are of little help. Better than nothing, I suppose, and they can at least confirm that the readout on my control unit is in the ballpark. Keep them cool and dry or they will stop working.

Garbage. Not accurate at all.
These strips were telling me that I was already around 3500ppm.Trying to gauge the salinity of my new Intex Saltwater HotTub. The chlorine level kept coming back, with the Intex supplied strips, as near ZERO.I took a water sample to my local pool shop and they calculated that the salinity was only at 2400ppm.Apparently the Intex sanitizer along with all other Saltwater systems will not start creating chlorine until at least 2800ppm.So these strips ... utter garbage.

Priced too high
Only 10 in the package, and you must follow the directions perfectly.Wait just a few seconds longer, and the reading will be off.

Inadequate
Product graduation is 500 ppm with 10 strips. Only good to confirm what other tests say. You can’t adjust salt levels with this information.Hard to even distinguish whether you are + or - 500 ppm. Don’t buy.

Fairly accurate with the pool store's analysis
I got this to check against what the pool store is telling me and it seems pretty accurate.I only give 4 stars because I do own other litmus strips and actually other products by Poolmaster and there's like 50-100 strips, etc. Granted these are my FIRST salt water strips, but the fact it only contains 10 is a bit unusual.Granted you don't need to check your salt levels as frequently as my other chemicals, but a quantity of 10 is not very much if you are low when checking, have added salt, waiting 3 days and want to check again. I wish this contained a minimum of 24 strips so you can check salt before and after each month.
