No complaints
I got this based on good reviews and it works and is pretty comfortable so no complaints. Haven't had it slip off and really doesn't dampen the sound of the violin as much as I thought it would. Is it worth the extra coin compared to cheaper alternatives? I can't say as this is my first shoulder rest.

Nice fit
Fits well on my daughter’s 3/4 violin. Easy to use/apply. Seems sturdy, stays in place. Not a bad price for this product.

Solid, Functional, Comfortable = A Good Shoulder Rest
Kun is a big name in violin shoulder rests as far as I am aware, and this shoulder rest proves why. It is relatively inexpensive, it looks nice, and it works. There may be better should rests out on the market (the one I initially tried my violin on was really nice, but I haven't been able to discover what it was or how much it costs). The part which sits upon the shoulder is nice and comfortable, a soft synthetic-polymeric material of some kind (kind of reminds me of a dense foam of some kind). The part which supports the violin has a a thick, tough yet soft set of "arms" to firmly hold the violin without any slipping. They fold down, which is nice for putting inside a small pocket within a violin case. The height of each of the violin supports is adjusted by a simply turning them clockwise or counterclockwise, thereby raising or lowering them via a screw-action. Overall, it works and I haven't encountered any problems with it. The build quality appears good, and it is as aesthetically pleasing as a shoulder rest can get, in my opinion. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Experienced Violinist - I recommend it!
I've been playing violin 15 years.I had a Viva brand shoulder rest prior to this one, and it lasted for several years before the rubber on the feet broke/cracked and the hard plastic under it began to gouge some lovely notches in my violin's varnish. Just watch out for that. This is my second Kun shoulder rest (I think we ran over my first one... along with my violin. Yes, it was heartbreaking). I love the collapsible legs and the rubber over the feet feels really durable. Everything is adjustable for your specific comfort, and the sponge is soft and cozy.Take care when "sliding" the rubber feet of any shoulder rest onto your instrument. If that underlying metal or plastic (depending on the model) breaks through, you're going to damage the wood. I suggest hooking one side on and then hooking one foot from the opposite end on, then clipping the last one in place. Sliding it along the edge of the instrument's body will wear out the rubber faster and risk causing more damage if those pads aren't well intact.A great product from my experience so far, as well as my past experience with Kun!

Good, well build shoulder rest.
compared to another similarly designed Chinese version going for about $10, this shoulder rest works really well. It's adjustable, comfortable and most importantly appears to be of good quality and sturdy build.I took off one star because the picture doesn't match the product I received. The one in the picture appears to have plastic covered metallic seats vs. the one I received.. has plastic seats (the part that hooks on to the body of the violin; i don't know the proper name for it).I chose not to send this back because of the reasons described and it seems to be an overall design change by KUN, most likely to reduce cost.It will be used daily and therefore, i should be able to know quickly if something goes wrong.

Beautiful.
Amazing product. Kun is one of the best shoulder rests out there! The grip is super powerful on my 4/4 violin and it felt like it could almost break the violin from how tight the grip was! (not really haha) i can definitely count on it! there is a shortening/lengthening mechanism so that it could fit your placement perfectly on the violin! I sounded better immediately after putting on the shoulder rest as I was without one the first 3 or 4 months. I have a super long neck so playing without one hurted me like hell and gave me neck, shoulder and every kind of muscle pain the day after. I would retreat for a few days and resume my practicing later, and even sometimes I would feel disheartened to play when I remember the soreness that my violin causes. It was definitely a struggle for me playing without a shoulder rest. 5/5 for me!!! Kun is amazing.

Sturdy and Comfortable. Reliable shoulder rest.
This shoulder rest works great. We have this for me and a reduced sized one for my young child. Love this. Very comfortable and reliable. Don't try any of the cheaper ones. Just get a Kun - it is worth the price and at $35 this basic model is great and will save you a lot of back and forth if you start with the cheaper ones hoping that they will also do the job.

Awsome
Kun was my first shoulder rest and I will never go with another. Very comfortable and hold tight to the instrument. This one is great because the collapsible feet allow it to fit in smaller violin cases.
