bought one in 1978
This is a review of a 45 yo pump, same model, pump still looks the same, different motor 45 years ago though, but if you were to put the new pump casting next to the 45 yo one, they still look the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It doesn't suction lift so well any more (years of dirty water at construction sites) and the B & S motor smokes to high heaven. BUT!!! 45 years later it still works. If your going to use it, you really can't beat a cast iron pump.

Pump seal and housing leaks, they will not return or replace
Pump seal and housing leaks immediately. Cannot return or replace item. They make it impossible. Stay away from these pumps. I bought here of them and installed 2 so far and they both leak. I haven’t opened or used the other but I’m sure that one is going to leak as well, and Amazon will not help or replace it
