Converted a 10 round to 5 round for hunting. Didn’t need 3 or them but it went in easy.

Magpul -5 round limiter
works really well and have had zero issues out of it. I use it with a 10 round magazine to reduce it to 5 rounds so ill be legal for hunting.

Works as it was designed!
I order these to limit my ten round mags to five round in order to be legal in the State of Maine. Rarely do I need more than five rounds in my AR-10, so I doubt these reducers will be removed. Works for me!

Limits the 10rd magazine to 4 rounds, not 5
Excellent results, but only 4 stars because it limits the 10rd mag to 4, not 5.After installing it limits the 10rd Magpul PMag magazine to 4 rounds, not 5. If you manage to load 5, it will not insert in an AR-15 with the bolt closed. It was necessary to cut off nearly 3/16 inch from the top end to get 5 rounds in the mag and insert with the bolt closed.Here's a tip when installing it: My Magpul 10rd have a small hole near the end of the base plate which is not there on higher capacity mags.. To get the limiter to seat completely inside, must insert a rod or small screwdriver into the hole to level the base of the limiter. Allows 5 rounds then, but will not insert with the rifle bolt closed, as above. Must still be shortened, as above.To shorten, I used a heavy duty German paper cutter to snip the upper end close to required, then filed while repeatedly assembling and checking with 5 rounds in the mag until it seated EASILY, not just barely, into the AR-15. File the top upper outer edges and forward and rear corner points on a slant so the mag spring will work over it without hanging.Our state allows only 7 rounds in the magazine (plus 1 in the chamber) for hunting, so I shortened one limiter even more to get 7 rounds in the mag. Seems to work OK, before actually making firing tests.UPDATE 10/15/2018HOORAY. Someone became sane and beginning 2018 there are no more magazine no. of rounds limits for hunting with .223s --i.e., AR-15 platforms --in our state. Look out land destroying wild hog packs and stock killing coyotes.

Exactly what I needed
