Was working great
This product has been working great up till the other day! When I took it round to another house as it wouldn’t connect to the wifi!!So I ‘forgot device’ hopping I’d be able to connect it that way but no it’s still not working. But before that the device was great and did what it was meant to….

Faulty & unreliable
Had problems with the feeder after a couple of days. The app randomly wiped the schedule and stopped feeding my cat. Afterwards when I had set the schedule again it started releasing food at random times that were not associated with the schedule, hadn’t been manually triggered and at one point I watched it randomly dispense all the food inside the caddy until it got blocked and had to stop!

DO NOT BUY!!!!
Absolutely awful product. It literally has a mind of its own. Deletes the timings set up to automatically feed my cat and then randomly releases food when unprompted. I only managed to catch the machine doing it because my baby woke up for a feed at that time. Absolutely ridiculous! Help centre completely useless too as all they say is to restart it and send screenshots but how can you send screenshots of deleted timings and random feeds that sporadically release food when unprompted. I’ve reset the thing 5 times now and it’s still doing it. Waste of money! DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Generally works well.
I feel a bit conflicted about this, we have tried it out now for a good while and generally, it works ok but occasionally it has a blip and my cats get a treat of extra food for no clear reason. I do normally free feed dry food to my cats but I wanted to encourage my cats to come inside in the early evening and a dump of dry food seems to do the trick. It would be good for holidays too if you have a cat/s that eat too much if you free feed dry food. We have quite enjoyed using this, the noise of the food dropping brings the cats running even if the bowl wasn't empty before but I think that for longer term use we will free feed again and use this for holidays to make sure that the food is paced. This holds a good amount of dry food and it is pretty easy to clean. If you don't have a cat that has to have a completely strict diet then this is a decent option for you if you want an automatic feeder, but as it does sometimes decide to treat your cats it may not be suitable for some.

app issues
Like the machine it is well built, holds enough food or treats for my two dogs but I have regular issues with the app, I have tried everything but seems to unsync for no reason, other times it claims to have fed my dogs & hasn't (have webcam at home so can see them) disappointing & have stopped using.

Fun to use and keeps my cat happy but may let you down.
Reassuring that my cat will be fed when I'm held up at work or out having fun! Took me 20 mins to set up the feeder. Needs a smart phone and plug nearby where it's situated for a plug in transformer ((USB). The flex is about a metre long. Easy to set up with app and an instruction booklet that has plenty of simple pictures to follow. It is quite easy to clean! Uses a simple app that can be used for other devices from the same company.Update: Feedback for the company & anyone considering purchase: after two months of use, the electronic pet feeder suddenly wiped the timings . Not such a problem if you are home anyway to check but might be to someone relying on this device totally. I would say if you were using it on holiday you’d still need someone to check in on your animal in case the feeder malfunctions. There is a 7-day history on the App so you could check this for reassurance. It didn’t send a notification to warn me that it had cancelled my settings. I’ve reset it again now but have lost some faith in it’s longer term reliability.

Good feeding schedule capabilities!
I ordered this automatic pet feeder to be able to feed my dog whilst away from home, if I’m going to be late home I wanted the ability to still feed my dog at his norma feeding time. The iKare comes well boxed and includes a mains power adapter whilst also being battery enabled (batteries not included). This means that if there were to be a powercut the feeder uses the backup battery power to still ensure your pet is fed which I think is brilliant. To setup the feeder you need to download an app on your smartphone, this allows you to set a feeding schedule (for specific times/days) or use the ‘feed’ button to manually force it to feed). Feeding amounts are set in’parts’, you can choose the amount of parts your pet is fed to meet their requirements. When the feeder feeds it plays an audible noise, this means your pet will start to associate the sound with being fed, so no matter where they are in the house they will hear when its dinner time! The only downside I found was that when the feeder is running low on food the last few biscuits dont always filter through to the tray as they get stuck in the bottom. Not a big deal if you keep it topped up but a little annoying none the less.Overall a handy gadget that my greedy dog will be very pleased about when he doesnt need to wait for me to be home before getting fed!
