I use these as stock for cooking and they taste better than my own veg stock. They are expensive which is the downside. I freeze portions in ziplock bags.

I’m gluten and lactose intolerant so always in the look-out for food that I can eat and that actually tastes nice! So I was pleased to be able to try this gourmet vegetable broth.The broth comes in handy long-life cartons, so can be stored unopened on a shelf rather than in a fridge, so helps with space. Once opened you will need to store in the fridge and the screw cap ensures the contents will remain fresh and no spillage if knocked over (I don’t know about you but my fridge space is always packed and sometimes items can be a bit precariously placed!). The cartons come sealed with a secure screw top, which breaks the seal when turned, and it also has a foil inner top that is also breaks when you trying the lid. This foil top didn’t come out cleanly for me, so I just folded it in before pouring the soup.The carton suggests you can drink straight from the carton or warm the contents through in a pan to use as soup or a drink. I warmed mine in the microwave in a Pyrex jug on a medium heat and that worked very well. The stock is absolutely delicious with lots of depth in the taste and is not over salted. I used mine as a low fat drink to keep me going in the day, and it works very well for that. I also used it in my shepherds pie, and it worked very well as a rich tasty base flavour.Price wise, well there is no doubt this pack of six broth cartons is very expensive, at around £6.17 per carton based on the current price of £36.99 for six. In anyone’s book this is at the luxury end of the market. I would say that it demons how you’re going to use it will define its value proposition. If you’re using it as a base for dishes, then you will get a lot of value from the pack, and you will use little and often overtime to add richness and depth of flavour to your savoury cooking, and this will feel like fair value, as you will be feeding 4-6 servings at least and maybe twice that. If you’re using as soup or a drink in its own, then over £6 per carton is very expensive indeed for a fleeting taste for one person.So there is no doubt in my mind that this broth is very very tasty. It is a little too rich for my ongoing needs, and would be better if it could be sold in individual cartons to use in cooking, as it’s a fair outlay when you have to purchase the box. So lovely tasty product overall, especially beneficial if you are gluten and lactose intolerant as I am (I’m pleased to report I had no adverse side effects from consuming the broth). Due to the price I’m deducting one star, but the product itself is a quality one if you can afford it.

good versatile base to many dishes..fast delivery

This is really good broth, tasty and aromatic with just the right amount of spice to work as a base for so many recipes for things like soup, rice, risotto, quinoa and beans. If you’re short on time, just heat up some of the broth and stir in any combination of steamed veggies, baby potatoes, chicken, tofu, boiled eggs, edamame beans, noodles, orzo; whatever you have at hand - make it a simple, quick and comforting soup or turn it into a nourishing superfoods buddha bowl, whatever you like really! It’s always quick and easy to use, very versatile and honestly packed with better, well-rounded flavour than you get with stock cubes and bouillon powder. Pricey but worth it in my opinion; you store the cartons in the cupboard and they have a long shelf life (it was a year and a half on the cartons I received) and then store in the fridge once opened and use within 4 days (no problem!)

In the pack you get 6 x 500ml.Using.It can be used as a soup on its own or added to many dishes to make a rather nice change. We have used it in soups, stews and mild curries. It adds a very nice favour base to build on. It is easy and economical to work with as the flavour is very strong.Overall.A great alternative stock which is free from artificial additives. It tastes lovely and can be the base to many healthy dishes.

Awful. Salty but with a strange aftertaste that it's impossible to put a name too.

The media could not be loaded. This broth is delicious and full of body. Its great for soups and using as a base for your sauces or gravy, I used this to make a delicious vegetable soup and curry sauce. The root vegetable flavours really do come through in this broth giving real depth of flavour.The product has a decent shelf life, the batch I received has a best before of May 2022.Overall, I think this is a great product if you can afford it, it is on the expensive side but it's delicious and caters for all being vegan free and natural.

Natural stock all made from vegetables and spices. We use a lot of bouillon for soups and some sauces as well. You always need to dilute and was curious to try different alternatives which doesn’t contain as much salt. Takes some used to it to know to begin with how much I should add to the soup/sauce, instead of bouillon.This stock contains no seasoning, just a natural vegetable juice basically, for that is gluten and dairy free.The box arrived with 6 x 500ml carton, like juice carton. It opens with a lid, but I must say I was struggling a bit to open as it’s closed very tightly. Even once the bottle was already open, was still hard to open again. For this, who suffer with weak arms or have muscle issues, I wouldn’t recommend this product.The cartons are widely recyclable as well. It has a very long shelf life of 16 month, which is great. But once it’s open, the instruction on the bottle is to consume within 4 days and keep it in the fridge. Currently it’s £5/pack and I find that a good competitive price on the market, for something where is no nasties added to it.
