Lansinoh - Smartpump 2.0 Double Electric Breast Pump - Ultra Quiet, Portable Pump - Links to Lansinoh Baby App for Easy Tracking

Before buying this pump, I have tried a couple of other pumps which both failed after a few uses.I took the leap and got this one as it was on offer on Amazon for a good price. I have to say for me personally, I am very impressed with this pump. Compared to the other pumps and the one I used in hospital, the suction is brilliant. I suffer with a low supply and this pump has helped me increase my milk supply. You can use this pump plugged into the mains or if you don’t want to be stuck plugged into the wall you can use it on the go but you will need 6 AA batteries. You get a good amount of accessories with it too: a travel bag for the pump, a cool bag and ice pack, two bottles with 1 teat and sealing lids, bottle stands and two different sized flange (25mm and 28mm). Although the flanges provided were too big so I had to order the smallest size separately from Lansinoh directly. You can track your pumping sessions with the Lansinoh app, which I find very helpful as I have become quite forgetful!

The pump is great except for app connectivity. Most of the time I don’t bother to fuss with it (no time) so I just enter it as a “non-smartpump” session in the app to track milk production. It is pretty quick and very quick, I use it for 5-7mins and get what I want from it. It’s great, but for the price I would expect the app to work. The previous version of the pump is so much cheaper and I wish I’d gone with that one, but maybe this one is much better and I just don’t know about it.I do find the app really useful for tracking nappies and feeding, but for some reason it needs to use internet to display what you’ve recorded.

The pump itself is working fine. The packaging arrived battered and was obviously opened before. We used the pump successfully since it looked unused and the plastic bags for components were sealed. We did notice that the box was supposed to include a tote bag for the pump and components, which was nowhere to be found. The pump might be good (only used it once so far and seems to do the job), but really poor service from Amazon, on a rather expensive item.

Very effective and comfortable while pumping

Used for 2/3 months and charger port has broken and can no longer used plugged into the wall,The third pump I’ve had of this brand to do this but I’m a pumping mum, so looks like another £149 is to be wasted on another pump to last another couple of months.Might look into another brand now due to the unreliableness of these pumps.

Great pump that’s really easy to use and extracts loads of milk.

My wife has been impressed with this electric breast pump from Lansinoh. In fact, it is there latest iteration - Smartpump 2.0 no less, and it is quite a pump.It is quiet and works in the background pumping away while freeing your hands, it isn’t actually silent and there is a slight humming. so unless you are in a dead quiet room you will hear the motor pumping away. In your day to day routine with children running around and the TV in the background, you will be hard-pressed to notice it expressing. The other reason for this is the suction cups. They are indeed comfortable.You can use this breast pump either by battery power or use it from mains powered. Both have the same level of power while the mains powered option just limits movement.Lansinoh pumps are a premium product and you can see where the investment has gone into. It’s lightweight, easy to assemble and clean as well.There is also an intuitive app that you can use to track all the metadata regarding pump sessions, output etc etc etc. The smart capabilities are probably one of the best out there. But it’s still the basic expressing capabilities that I turn to first and this breast pump works brilliantly in that department. The pump even remembers the last setting you used before taking it and resumes where you left off.My only real gripe about this breast pump is that it isn’t discreet. It’s comfortable and effective, but not discreet. The collection bottles literally protrude out like you are being milked, so while it’s portable you can’t really leave the house with them on.Rival models have designs that can fit breast pumps within your bra thus allowing you go shopping for instance.This breast pump doesn’t allow this. But, I guess this pump is designed to give the maximum output and comfort opposed to aesthetics that are generally not as efficient.A very good breast pump that does it job well with a no-nonsense attitude.

So disappointed, the pump does not work and Amazon just directs you to Lansinoh for customer support who direct you back to Amazon as that’s where it was purchased.I’m left with an item that doesn’t work and a loss of a lot of money I didn’t have to spend on top of having a new baby.Unnecessary stress and upset. Do not recommend.
