As others mentioned, Mike is not as great of a writer as his parents and his books can be quite religious but this one was a great little story for St. Patrick’s day. The only religious mention is how St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland. This was a good, new book to add to our old classic collection.

I buy these books whenever possible for the kids because the stories are reliably good-hearted with a meaning or moral more often than not. I grew up reading them and loved the pictures. The bear claws used to fascinate me.
