Q: what is the difference between a 183-020-04 and a 183-029-040?

The number 020 on the second set of digits indicates "OEM" and the 029 as the second set of digits indicate "Aftermarket".

Q: Does anyone know how long the warranty is on this? Ive had mine less than a year and its leaking.

I've bought 2 In less than 2 years both leaked from the body in less than a month

Q: can this city water also be used for tank fill?

Seems redundant to me. In most cases, there are two water inlets available: single inlet for tank fill; a hose connector for water hose attachment. This device is obviously made for a hose attachment to provide a pressure regulated input directly to the plumbing system, not through tank service. While there is no question that it CAN be used for both, the question is, SHOULD it be used for both. Only you can make that decision, and your engineering/design experience is really the primary answer to that question.

Q: Is there a locking cap available for this item?

There is no lock available that I am aware of. Only a screw cap.
