Just Buy It
Just got it. Assembling took like 1h. My son 41" who used to ride a 12" bike just had zero problem to ride.I guess this is perhaps the best deal I've gotten in the past 1 year in Amazon. Not sure if you had the feeling with me, wth a bike for 4yo kids usually take at least $200. I've ordered and compared with two other bikes:- Woom3, around $450 with shipment from its official site. Very lightweight. But THB some parts are not well made.Belsize is the same lightweight (around 13b), all parts of Belsize bike are all branded, i.e. Continental belt.- Raleigh Rowdy. It's around the same price with Belsize. But I think it's not well designed. The handlebar is as high as the saddle so kids gotta kinda crunch. This bike is just amazing, super lightweight but robust, simplistic but robust.A11n Belsize? unheard brand. looks it's the first bike of this brand. Made-in-China? alright, looks treated with bias nowadays. I just don't care about the brand and China became world factory just because its comparative advantage on many commodities. So just buy it.

Overall great with a few niggles
It’s easy to build. Box is small so don’t plan on using it to sell the bike you’re replacing! Brakes needed a little adjustment and are hard to pull for little hands but I’m hoping they will loosen up a bit with a few weeks of use (unlike our previous Islabike whose brakes are easy to pull from the get go). Wish they had the option to buy with fenders and kickstand as adding these after like I have done is not easy to find these items for a 16” bike. If that was an option it would get 5* but as it’s not along with the slightly stiff brakes it’s gets 4*.Good value if you can’t afford one of the brand names.Best parts are: overall weight and NO COASTER BREAK! (rear wheel is freewheel thank goodness!)Not sure how the belt drive instead of chain will hold up but time will tell!

Do it... Kid loves it!
Kid has 12” Trek. Needed a bigger bike. Didn’t want to deal with the local Trek folks as Trek online do not ship direct to home and you have to let a local Trek moron put it together. Also, PRIORITY Bikes make a awesome 16” that’s close to this bike with a belt drive which I almost bought. I hate to buy junk and was hesitant to buy the BELSIZE. This bike is awesome. It’s made well and son loves it. I wish it came in adult size.

Great little bike
We're not a die-hard biking family - we all ride for fun, but at leisurely paces. No mountain biking/road race fanatics here. So I approached the idea of spending over $200 (heck, over $100) on a 16" bike with a whole lot of skepticism...until I borrowed a lightweight, freewheel 12" bike from a friend (who is a mountain biking fanatic) and my 3 year old daughter was riding it completely on her own three 10-minute sessions later. This 16" bike is a great balance of nice hardware and reasonable cost for what you get (the rear freewheel with handbrakes, the frame light enough for a preschooler to pick up). My daughter is now three and a half, and is just now big enough to ride this. She's having a great time with it and likely will for a couple of years. Worth it, and I expect to be able to hand this down once she outgrows it.Assembly was straightforward, although the instructions are pretty thin. I did have to adjust the front brake to allow the wheel to spin freely. No instructions for assembly of the plastic belt (chain) guard, but I figured it out.Update: We've gone on several rides on this now, and her comfort with the bike keeps growing. She can both lift it over a curb and ride it off a curb unassisted, and she's now fast enough that I have to run to keep up with her (plus? Minus? YOU DECIDE!). She's eager to ride her "silver bike" and hops back on after the occasional fall. Great bike.

Hot wheels
After reading online reviews for various “high end” 12 inch bikes, I realized that this was worth a try, due to its nice design and good value for money. So far, it has met or exceeded all expectations for a child’s bike. Using my luggage scale, I clocked the weight as 14 lbs, the finish and components are nice, and the ride seems very smooth. My 4-year-old took to it instantly and it has allowed a huge improvement in her riding ability compared with her previous, heavy Trek Mystic. The belt drive works really well and having real brakes is a major benefit. She now rides twice as fast, four times as long, and tackles hills and small off-road sections with ease. Completely happy with this purchase.
