Super helpful
I can now play my violin after how many yeats! Although some songs can have longer versions in the book it’s already a great help for me to recall the songs.

Good tunes. No piano part or CD. Unhelpful publisher
The pieces are good fun. I would prefer them in progressive order rather than alphabetical. I contacted the publisher to see if there was a piano part or CD at all. They made a feeble excuse about this being for people to learn on their own - so violin teachers never use your books Hal Leonard?! So overall, nice selection of tunes, but several down sides.

Improving beginner
I’m an ‘improving beginner’ and this book is ideal to start exploring classical music as I’ve been playing traditional Scottish/Irish until now. There’s plenty to choose from for those who like variety. I’d recommend.

Nice collection of short pieces.
Really nice collection. Perfect if you want short pieces for practice or just enjoyment. There are no fingering suggestions and some of the technical instructions are a little clumsy but well worth the money overall.
