George Thorogood And The Destroyers

Absolutely THE best debut album
This album is not available in the UK anymore and I had to ship mine from the US. I didn''t hesitate to do so because this is an absolute must have George Thorogood Album. Some of the tracks on this 1977 release are still part of the live show well over 30 years later and as good now as they were on this album. Ride on Josephine is a great track, Madison Blues is one of the said numbers that is still played live and featured regularly, so too is One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer. The album may be old but it clearly shows how class these guys were then and they still are. If you get the chance go and see them live, grab it with both hands, they really know how to have a good time, and so will you no matter what worries you may have before you go and see them, they'll feel a whole lot different afterwards. I cant rate this album higher than 5 but if I could I would, its absolutely brilliant.

Great to listen to.
I've never heard of George before, heard Bad To The Bone before but never associated that with the singer. Saw him on TV and I thought how did I missed this back in the late 60's- 70's; love his music and loved watching him perform.

George Thorogood at His Best!
George Thorogood at His Best!I saw George in Atlanta on 10/5/2016. After he rocked the Symphony Hall, I looked at my friend and said, "George is going to do an Encore with "Madison Blues"....... and he did about five minutes later. For a GT fan, I was rocked and felt like I did when I first saw him at Rose's Cantina, (Behind the Varsity in Atlanta), in the mid to late 70's. I was about 5 feet away from him as he put his foot on the small amp and rocked that tiny place. It was a thrill to feel like I was 20 years old again as I listen to this CD. I had the album 35 years ago, now I have the CD.

Forgot what a great album this is
I had this album as a teenager in the late Seventies and I was blown away by GT's power and immediacy. For some reason, I never replaced it when CDs came along until I recently rediscovered it.To my delight, it has lost none of it's freshness and immediacy and the tracks are now a fixture in my playlists. I can highly recommend this to anyone who loves the raw and direct sound of a blues slide guitar.
