AMAZING
I love Merlin‘s writing style. And as a high school senior, this book was both very accessible to somebody with minimal knowledge about the subject and very inspiring for somebody who is thinking about what they want to do with their life. Mycology is super cool the writing style really just blew me away. I love how accessible this book makes science feel especially because it’s very engaging and written in such a way that it’s isn’t just interesting facts but also it expresses the cultural impacts and more human sides of the topic really really well. I’m absolutely obsessed.

Hermoso
El unico detalle es que la portada del libro solo es papel, no viene impreso en la cubierta, y es un papel que si no lo cuidas se daña, si se moja no hay forma de recuperarlo y tu libro quedaria sin portada, fuera de eso el contenido es hermoso

A new look at macro-life
Great read about the world of fungi! Well written and a great science read for the non-scientist. Bought as a present for my dad who loves science, but is not a scientist!

Great introduction to fungi
I purchased this book after reading a positive review in an issue of the journal Science. It is well written and an excellent introduction to the world of fungi. Each chapter covers a particular type of fungus or characteristic (ex.: truffles, hyphae networks, lichens, pharmacological properties, symbiosis with plants and trees, etc.). This is all done by the author narrating his work in the field and his encounters with various researchers or fungi enthusiasts. It is easy to read and captivating. I strongly recommend to those who want to know more about the well hidden but wonderful world of fungi, not a plant but a kingdom by itself.
