LG HU810PW 4K 300” UHD (3840 x 2160) Smart Dual Laser CineBeam Projector with 97% DCI-P3 Color , 2700 ANSI Lumen, 2,000,000:1 Contrast, HDR10 & HLG - White

My room is roughly 30'x30', (living room open to kitchen). Until I get everything fine-tuned, I'm shooting a 100"+ image 17' away onto a peach painted wall. I have 4 BRIGHT can lights in the living room area, plus all the lights in the kitchen, plus 6 windows that leak some light around black blinds. So, no direct sunlight but certainly not a basement with no windows. With this setup, it's perfectly watchable as-is. The wash-out from the lights is minimal and fine for watching the news and sitcoms in daylight. It's so good, my wife doesn't want to spend the money on a screen. If we want to have movie night, we can just turn off the front lights. The kitchen lights in the back don't affect the image. I have already purchased an ALR screen for long-throw projectors and that will seriously mitigate the light from the ceiling, (as I have already tested with swatches from Elitescreens). I HIGHLY recommend this projector. It's as easy to set up and configure as you could imagine and shoots a bright image onto the wall - so much so that the whites are WHITE, NOT PEACH. If you want movie night - you CANNOT go wrong with this unit.

I'm very happy with this projector. I'm fairly new to using projectors, as my prior projector was $300. Needless to say, the picture quality and brightness was not to my liking so I was looking for a reasonable upgrade. I didn't wanna go too high end because my set up (apartment with a lot of ambient light) would not be able to take advantage of the very expensive projectors. My search led me to this LG projector. I was particularly looking for a bright projector, and at 2700 ANSI lumens, this one definitely fits the bill. I can clearly see images during the day when the sun basically fills the room. Now the black is obviously washed out but I can otherwise see the picture clearly. I also wanted something that would display crisp, clear pictures, which this projector also delivered. Watching 4k HDR videos (screenshot attached) is a mesmerizing experience. The noise is barely audible, but you can tell there is a fan. The webOS is much more convenient than I thought. You can buy Chromecast or Roku stick to get a similar experience, but the LG remote is well designed. The horizontal and vertical lens shifters are very handy. Note that there are only vertical keystones. However, using the keystones degrades picture quality so I would rather place the projector better to avoid using them. Finally, you can customize a lot of the settings to your liking. There is even an AV adjuster in case the sound is not in sync. The one downside I see is that the input lag is on the high side (50 ms) for gaming. I don't intend to game on this so it is not an issue for me.

I want to love this projector. The picture is solid, the features are great, Super bright,, etc. BUT!!!! Projector has an issue at 1200-1500 hours where the chip overheats and fails. I sent to LG repair- they repaired it under warranty. 3 days later, already starting to show pixels. This is common when searching online. Super disappointed as the warranty is only 1 year. Update-at 15 months. What a POS! Failed again after two repairs. LG will not fix because out of warranty. DO NOT BUY. I regret this purchase

I bought this projector about two and half years ago. I use it for work and recreation. I think it has around 6000 - 7000 hours of usage, though not sure how to check that. My Epson would let me easily check the hours used on the lamp bulb. Over the past 15 years, i've now owned around 11 or 12 projectors. I've run into a lot of issues. None of them have been perfect for long. Generally, within six months to a year, I notice something weird. I usually don't mess with trying to return them because the picture quality with these blemishes is generally still way better than a similarly priced TV, in my view. I'm usually projecting onto a screen or my wall an image that's around 100 inches. Compare that to a TV of this size, there's no comparison in price or image quality. There's no reflection like TVs have. They're also a lot more portable. My first projector was an LG HX350T 720p LED, which was a piece of junk in comparison to this. I loved it and used it for about two years before it stopped working. As some other reviews have mentioned, I also have a blown out pixel which showed up within the warranty period i think, maybe six months after buying it. However, that one dead pixel, while annoying for something I spent almost 3k on, is generally ignorable. I don't notice it most of the time. It is hard to miss on a dark screen, but my mind tunes it out. Most if not all of the projectors I bought in the sub 2k range had worse issues or artifacts within a year or two, some of them right out of the box. All that is to say, all the projectors have some type of unwanted artifact or issue. Even a projector that technically is probably working as designed could be very loud or hot or have any number of artifacts that are not going anywhere, which you won't realize until you start using it a lot, meaning after you bought it. The image on this projector is really nice, minus the blown out pixel. It's better than any of the other projectors i've owned. The noise level is low, but it seems to get louder over time. It's comparable to my LED projectors. Lamp projectors are loud. They also put out a lot of heat. This projector does not put out that much heat at all. The noise it makes is not bad. Sometimes this thing doesn't turn on when i try to turn it on. Now it's taking about thirty seconds to fully turn off. It seems like it will die within the next six months. I may try to get it serviced. Again, i use this thing about 8-12 hours a day. I don't think projectors are generally built for how i use them. I would ignore any marketing saying that the bulb will last 20,000 hours and therefore, you can expect the projector will last as long as the bulb. I've had plenty of LED projectors with similar claims. None of them have lasted more than 2-3 years, and definitely not getting anywhere close to the advertised bulb longevity. The bulb itself did not go out, but other parts stop working, usually within the first year or two. I think the warranties usually say that they are not covered if you use them more than a few hours a day. The image quality on this projector is remarkably consistent with how it looked out of the box after 6-7k hours of use. In the past, the image quality deteriorated on other projectors with LED and lamp bulbs faster, usually within the first six months to a year. This is the first laser projector that I've owned. I bought another LED projector (Optoma UHL55) about five or six years ago that i use sometimes still and it's image has held up pretty well too, but it has a lot of other issues. And I have not used it that much in comparison to my other projectors. For one, i have to refocus the image every single time i turn it on, which is maddening. Also, it seems to have a permanent SOP (soap opera effect) after one of the firmware updates. Also, i'm guessing it would have broke by now if I used it like i've been using this laser projector or many of my other projectors. I keep it at work and since COVID, I left it there and haven't gone back that much, which is why it's still around. In contrast, this laser projector has a nice focus knob that remains the same every time i turn it on, lol. And it doesn't have this SOP effect. And it's brighter, snappier, less lag time, better contrast, etc. Also, the noise on that Optoma is a strange grating sound, although it's relatively quiet, and still preferable to a lamp bulb projector like my Epson Pro I got from Best Buy. I've been thinking about buying this one again or trying to repair it by sending it in to an LG shop. There are so many options. Also, the price on this one somehow seems to have increased for a new one, which is weird since these projectors appear to be getting exponentially better as time passes. I never see any reviews on YouTube or elsewhere commenting on durability or longevity, but I'd like to find a projector that is built like a TV or a monitor that will last 5-10 years with heavy use. Not sure those exist yet at this price range or any price. I wonder about movie theatre projectors, how often they have to buy new ones or get them serviced. TLDR; in my experience, this is a nice projector and I've been happy with it. Thanks for making it LG :).

Got this to replace a Epson 4010 that failed after only two years. This is my first laser projector, so I didn't know what to expect. Only issue with installation, was the unit didn't come with screws to attach the ceiling mount. I used a Seals & Munsil calibration Blu-ray to calibrate the picture. The results blew me away. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

pictire is great crisp clear sharp coulorful the projector was slightly damaged when it arrived the seller would not do nothing other than a return it was only a small corner broke off from being poorly packaged but it is a small piece i would have liked a discount or even a exteneded warranty but no deal take it or leave it i took it and it is working perfect so far i had a panasonic pta 2000 projecter for the last 15 years it has been great and worked perfect the whole time changed a few bulbs the picture was always great in the dark but only inn the dark it gamed perfect but i was ready for a 4k picture my 65 " samsung has great 4k pic and hdr and all but is way to small to game on or waqtch movies really the lg ceinabeamer is awsome i looked on uytube for months deciding and im glade i went with the lg it was worth it pricey but i paid the same for my pta 2000 back in the day so aslong s it last 10 years atleast ill be happy if your thinking on th elg get it its worth it i use 1.1 gain flat white screen no light blocking at all and the pic is great shrap as can be the setings on lg are good theres a lot i havent messed to much with them yet out the bow the lg is perfect in my opion ultra 4k movies look awsome gameing in hdr on vivid is sweet perfect pic gameing mode is super clear and smooth i dont compet online in fps but the souls games and alike work perfec t youll have no isuses playing xbox x on this baby only hade it 2 weeks so far loveing it if i run into issues ill will update but for now if i were u id get it with out thinking about it worth it all the way i also can watch it with lights on i have 6 lights faceing ceiling AND light coulor room windos shades half drawn one the 1 window directly oposite wall the screen and i can still watch it during supper on bright seting and the pic is actually preaty good direct sunlight is the thing that kills brightness the lights dont hurt it too bad i havent put my screen up sence got the lg to use tv ill probly move it to bedrrom or soemhting .

Tried to invest in laser projector after my optoma. After 1.5 years, I noticed a white dot right in the middle of the screen. Super distracting..now few months later there is another dot. Warranty is over..now I'm quoted another $1000 to get it repaired!! Buyers beware! Absolutely ridiculous 😡
