Simple, small and effective
Awesome. At approx. 20cm x 10cm and 5cm deep, it is smaller than the older 'tube' lights. The green charging light alone is enough to provide some bonus guidance in the routine dark. A bright white light from a row of leds when the power fails. No earth connection required. Wiring is simple with push fittings and the instructions are very clear. Very lightweight for even the most delicate ceiling. The green running man sticker is standard. I cannot vouch for its waterproof function or compliance with the various laws - I can only say it works on my ceiling. Three simple options - only comes on when the power fails - on all the time and continues when the power fails - can be turned on/off at a light switch but will definitely be on when when the power fails. The lamp assembly is easy to remove from the base and very lightweight, you can leave it carefully hanging whilst you screw the base to the ceiling and make the electrical connections. The battery arrives discharged and needs to have mains power for an hour or so before the unit will function (after a 12 hour charge it passed a 3 hour drain test). If the charging led does not illuminate just check it is plugged in to the obvious place on the circuit board. For £16 it is a great piece of kit. As usual, if in doubt, hire an electrician but just check the instructions before going to that expense.

Small, Compact- Nothing else you could wish for- EMERGENCY LIGHTING (EMG LTG)
Verry good indeed. Unlike others, this is a small compact emg bulkhead which has no buzzing, unlike my esp emergency lights that do, however there is a bright green charge light, which docent usually get my attention, but after residents are complaining i noticed it. This is okay though. On the "after installation" test this came on for over 3 hrs. I am waiting to do the April Monthly emergency light testing and when doing that, i will take a picture so you can see it in emergency mode. As standard comes with link wire, for non maintained just take that out. I have a permanent and switched live (took power from fire sounders and light nearby)
