best value
This has worked perfectly for me so far. I've had it now for over a month or so and use it very often (about every other day). I've had no problems and it is an incredible value. I chose this route because it is modular. If a driver goes out I don't have to buy a whole new board. If I need another controller board in the near future, this is the first place I'm looking.

Arduino board questionable but the rest is great.
I ordered this to build my own delta 3D printer. After everything was assembled, I kept having funny motor issues. After a few hours of headache and trying to find the cause it was discovered that something was wrong with my Arduino Mega. Ended up having to order another Arduino Mega but the RAMPS board and A4988 drivers have all been working just fine. The stepper drivers even come with heat sinks of their own.Pros: - Very Affordable - Everything you need to control stepper motors for a 3D printer or CNC - A4988 Drivers come with heat sinks and sticky thermal paddingCons: - RAMPS Board has been known to have loose/bad connections and has been verified by online forums.Bottom Line: I ordered this and ended up having to order a second Arduino Mega because the first one was bad. Other than the Arduino Mega board the rest of the hardware has been fantastic. Would still recommend to a friend albeit with a warning.Ordered late 2014, edited this post on 4/7/2015. Originally thought the RAMPS board was but after much more investigation and testing, discovered something was wrong with the arduino. Replaced the arduino mega and everything worked fine.

Good if you don't mind rework
The included Arduino and stepper drivers seem to work well, but the ramps board was very poorly assembled, with some pins shorted together and cold solder joints abounding. However, after a bit of rework, the board worked fine.

Will buy other brand next time -- almost fried my laptop!
So unfortunately, I only started verifying the product this past weekend (after the return deadline :( ), and it turns out:1. One of the 4 included A4988 drivers is totally defunct. The other 3 are in good shape, but a Reprap can't be built with 3. I tested them on isolated circuits using a Raspberry Pi, and 12V of power.2. The shield was missing all of the circuitry to connect the extruder0. X, Y and Z were verified to be in good shape, but E0 didn't work out of the box.3. The shield has a short circuit in it, so after being plugged in for about 10 minutes (standard 12V 5A power), the board got very hot. It burnt out the remaining stepper drivers and the attached ATMEga (which worked fine until this moment). In fact, the short was so powerful it hard-rebooted my computer over the USB cable.I was frankly pretty freaked out because it's been 2-3 months since my last backup (my fault) but OSX went down hard. I had a spinning mac during the next boot up for about 10 minutes while it went through and performed a diagnostic and fixed itself.Overall, I loved the kit for the first 24 hours and am now very disappointed :(

Works great and awesome deal with one unfortunate and time consuming exception. One of the stepper drivers was faulty. I have to order another stepper driver to get my printer up and running. Bummer.

Everything works for great price
This Ramps 1.4 and mega set came exactly as stated in the description. It comes with 4 A4988 stepper drivers. I successfully uploaded my firmware with no problems. Everything worked perfectly. It was a great price as well. I would definitely buy it again.

Very poor Quality and no evidence of any QC on the Mega 2560 board
Just received this yesterday, the Mega 2560 board could not have been QC'ed. The 22-53 connector was soldered in at an angle which prevents the connection of the Ramp board. The only saving point was that I have access to a full hot air rework system and a skilled technician correct the problem. But until I am able to complete the build I will have no idea if any of this stuff will build. If you are looking to buy this, be prepared to do significant rework on at least the Mega 2560. Most reviews are favorable so my case may be a one off.The product is too cheap to waste money on a return.Day three:Well two of the stepper motor boards are crap. In one case the board could not even turn the stepper motor with no load and before you ask, yes I did the setup described on the WIKI page, and adjusted the current once the stepper stalled. The other stepper motor board was hooked up to the extruder and would turn as long as I had no filament installed.Luckily after the what I saw of the Mega 2650 board I bought some backup stepper controllers so I had one to replace the dud and I have enough to replace the extruder motor if I have time tomorrow. It's really looking like I didn't save any money by buying this one.

Arrived with some issues, workable only for PLA printing without a heated bed.
Issues:- T1 and T2 thermistor pins would somehow generate their own readings despite not having anything connected, it makes me having a heated bed totally useless.- Mounting hole between polyfuses and 12v power connectors was filled with solder.- Mosfets were bent in a way that would not let me attach a heatsink for the bed mosfet.- 3 pin male header next to reset button missing- several pins on the outside edges of the board were bentOverall: Useable for PLA only in this condition. Cheap enough if you're willing to gamble for your quality.
