Q: Does this work like xanax?

Xanax has a high affinity for GABA-A receptors in the brain and modulates the receptor, directly producing anxiolytic effects; Relora is a proprietary blend that likely contains both Magnolol and its isomer Honokiol, both with affinity for GABA-A receptors and with modulating effects as well. The only problem is there are likely several subtype GABA-A receptors in the brain that work in different ways. Relora would, at best, be affecting different subtype receptors - therefore, it has been shown to have anxiolytic properties, but different than Xanax. To understand this better, Honokiol is very similar structurally to Propofol, yet the affects of the two are substantially different.

Q: How does this product work to help loose weight? I see some say it calms them so they don't bendge eat but that is not my problem. Its just hard for me to loose more than 5 lbs.
