Accurate
I first used calipers on the adjustment bolts to align rear wheel/belt tension. Bolts are not quite the same length on ends of threads. This tool seems perfect. Easy align wheel. Fool proof. Worth the cost for piece of mind.

Great product
Excellent quality all metal product. Simple and straightforward to use. Made alignment of my Sportster custom 2007, rear wheel an easy and very accurate task to undertake. Definitely worth the money. The seller of this was a company named Dirt N Dunes . The 1st dispatched product still has not arrived. When the seller was contacted they were super professional with their customer service. Asked for the courier of our choice with no fuss or extra cost. And the 2nd dispatched item arrived within a couple of days. Friendly and professional company. Well done Dirt N Dunes top man.

Easier than using a tape
I put off getting this tool for years, but finally caved and picked one up. I always just used a tape measure when aligning my Softail Custom rear wheel, which works ok. This works better because it is easier to get an accurate measurement. You can definitely make one of these using a welding rod or a metal coat hanger by using the instructions right in the service manual to bend it. I prefer professionally made tools though, and don't mind paying a small price for them. The adjustable brass cone fits snuggly in the rear axle. You have to just eyeball the other end of the tool on your swing arm pivot bolt though, as there is no centering marker on it. You can measure and scribe your own mark, but I find it accurate enough just to eyeball it.On my particular bike the right side exhaust bracket gets in the way of the swingarm bolt so you cannot hold the tool directly in line with it. You have to hold both ends on a 45° angle. Bottom line...I'm glad to finally own one of these.
