A Satisfying Musical Journey
After downloading 1 track, I decided to buy the complete CD and I'm so glad I did! The album takes you on an emotional journey from the first track to the last. It tells a life affirming story that's goes from a question to exhilaration to bittersweet, joyful and finally haunting. It's a masterpiece that should be experienced from beginning to its final end.

Incredible.
It seems Einaudi has a lot of critics. Either you love his music or you sneer at it. Put me in the first category. Einaudi doesn't really belong to any definable music genre. He's not a classical musician. He's not New Age or jazz or pop or even minimalist, but he seems to be able to take elements from all of those genres and fuse them together in a way that's captivating and also deceptively simple. It's a mistake to dismiss it as mood music or movie music, because then the first question you often have to ask yourself is: what mood? His music can stir up as many different feelings as there are fans to listen to it. His music gets under your skin and then draws out of you whatever was there in the first place. This album seems to me to be -- at least in part -- a song cycle that tells the story of the beginning of a new relationship and the end of an old one. Probably I made all this up in my own head. Another listener is going to get something entirely different out of it. All I can say for sure is, "This is incredible." I love it and I have gotten so addicted to Einaudi that I hear his music in my head while I sleep. Get it.

CANNOT GET ENOUGH!
I hadn't heard of Ludovico Einaudi until recently, now I'm hooked on him. I love all of his piano pieces, particularly "Primavera" which is my favorite, "Uno" a close second. I discovered Einaudi (and other artists I like) on the Echoes radio program. Echoes has new age type music, sometimes a little too way out, but occasionally I've found new artists I've become very fond of in the last few years. Ludovico Einaudi's music is sensuous and relaxing, so much so, it sometimes sends me off into a trance and lulls me to sleep. I suffer from chronic insomnia, so it is very welcome! He plays with so much feeling that I want more of him, he really touches my soul. I checked out all his music and decided "Ludovico's Divenire" CD and "I Giorni" are the best so I bought both, and I'm very happy with my purchase. He has a classical sound, and is modern at the same time, very unique. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this CD, it is now one of my top favorites.

Artist is Great! - Music is Great! - Production of the CD is terrible!
Divenire The music on this album is wonderful (heard several tracks on a local Classical Music Station. I own one of the Artists (Ludovico Einaudi) earlier albums, which was produced by BMG. The quality of the music is matched by the quality of the recording, over-all CD and packaging. The Artists newest album, DIVENIRE, as purchased from Amazon is produced by a company called "Ponderosa Music & Art" and made in the EU. The packaging is cardboard cover, not great but OK. I personally prefer the full size plastic covers with rear insert listing the names of the tracks, the track # and sometimes the playing time of the track. The information printed on the DIVENIRE album cover is minimal at best and only lists the track names. An insert "booklet" provides some additional information about the music and other Artists on the CD. Overall the cover is attractively done, just not what I would prefer. The appearance of the CD is Satin Black on the printed side with a narrow outer band in Chrome lettering, providing the name of the Artist and Album, as well as copyright info. The Chrome lettering looks like it is already starting to fail, maybe not bonded well to the CD media. The greatest disappointment with this CD is that the first one received from Amazon would not play consistently in my Bose Music system, very intermittent at best. That CD was returned to Amazon and a replacement was here in three days. A side note here, Customer Service at Amazon is really great! CD #2 arrived today and once again it will not play in the Bose Wave Radio/CD Player. It will play in the component music system, when placed in the Sony CD/DVD player and there it does sound very good. I am very disappointed that the CD will not play in the player used the most. Another side note, "the Bose system is several years old, used daily and this is the first CD that has not played as one would expect". I like the music so well when it is played on the Sony player, I just may keep it.I would hope that Ludovico Einaudi will find a Producer for his next album that will put as much care and quality into the packaged product as Ludovico puts into his music.Arnie Rodman.

Swept Away
This was the most expensive CD I've ever purchased, but it's hard to come by. But it's definitely worth it. In addition to the all-encompassing title song, the rest of the tracks are gorgeously performed & the recording quality is excellent. Like author Amy Tan, who also likes to write while listening to soundtracks, I do, too. If you like to paint, read, cook, write, sew, etc. to beautiful music, this is for you.

everyone should have this...
Ludovico is by far my favorite musician and composer. I have purchased this for many of my friends and family and they all love it. His work is precise, crisp, emotional and yet often uplifting. He is a true master and if you ever have the chance to see him live, I highly recommend it. In the meantime, buy this album...I promise, you wont regret it.

Cracking.
Two of the tracks will blow you away. The rest of the album flows excellently - and fairly calmly, with some brilliant ideas from the man.Ludovico's really gone full-tilt with the elements on this one, and the use of electronic loops could have truly gone overboard... and to be honest, would probably have created a great sound all the same earning new fans from the ambient market: but he's not forgotten that the piano is what it's all about. The strings are a fairly obvious addition, but totally worthy of mention. They add might and emotion to really stir things up.One man has already said: if you get a chance to see a live Einaudi show then you must go! Even if you buy your ticket late, and you're at the back, it doesn't matter. I've seen him twice: once really up front, and the other... not so up front. Both were easily as good as each other.

Magical
This is a magical album and marks something of a shift in overall mood form Einaudi's earlier works which were brilliant in some areas and not so good in others to a seamless and consistent stream of beautiful compositions which blend together and compliment each other whilst each retains the ability to be played and enjoyed individually. "Ambient" and "New Age" elements are more to the fore, and remind me a little of the fabulous Eno/Budd collaborations on "Pearl" and "Lovely Thunder". An absolute treasure.

Great CD, Bonus CD seems pointless.
After seeing him in Rome a couple of weeks ago for a wonderful concert, I bought Divinire to fill out my collection of his music beyond "In a Time Lapse", "Elements" and "I Giorni". This CD delivers more classic Einaudi and good sound quality. Forget the Bonus CD remixes though - they sound mostly like a skipping CD, too much sampling and loops, not sure why they bothered.

Full of passion
It's the first CD I have from Ludovico and had heard the track Divenire on the radio and thought there and then it was a CD I had to buy, just close your eyes and let him carry you away, Very atmospheric and full of passion, just listen to it over and over again. Beautiful. The bonus disc has three remixed tracks which I did listen to on only one occasion, not as good as the main CD track listing in my opinion. The mix of piano and strings just go so well together and lifts you up.

Lovely stuff
Some excellent tracks on this Divenire album by Ludovico Einaudi some of the tracks like Divenire nd Primavera,Svanire include amazing orchesrtal parts while others have cello and a few other instuments and some tracks with only Ludovico doing some beautiful piano pieces. He also experiments with loops over dubs and reverse piano loops on some tracks which all contribute to an amazing cd, the bonus cd mix is not that great.
