This product does hold a pound of coffee BUT is entirely defective because it doesn't seal shut. Unless you want to staple the bag closed.

These bags are wonderful. They're a good size and accommodate up to 1lb of coffee. The liner is substantial enough to keep the coffee fresh during storage. The one way valve is placed well and still allows room for labeling underneath. Other reviewers claimed to have issues with these sealing properly. I went through an order of 50 and didn't have an issue with even one of them sealing. One negative thing I'd say about them is they have a bit of writing and graphics on them at the front top to indicate where the opening tab and reselling zipper is located. It's unnecessary in my opinion. If people can't figure out how to open these bags, then there's a bigger issue at hand.

These bags are the right size for 16 oz of roasted coffee beans but I gave them to 2 customers so far and they both have complained that the pull strips break and don't open the bags. They wound up having to be sliced open. I have opened 2 bags myself and one opened fine, but the pull strip on the other broke. I have lowered the heat on my sealer to see if that helps. I will use up what I have, but don't think I'll order these again unless the pull strip works on the rest of the bags. I haven't noticed the seal coming loose yet like others have, but we'll see what happens.
