Beautiful
Perfect phone. I had a pretty new Apple because everyone I knew said get Apple. I hated it. I hated putting it to the side and buying another phone as well. I can't do anything with Apple they have too many restrictions and a lot of apps won't even work on it. Well I usually do not get new versions of phones and this time was no exception. Got the Pixel 4a 5g, new enough to have esim and 5g but cheap enough to not break my bank. The phone came and I thought it was new looks so good. What I like is when you usually buy a used phone no charger but they gave me both a cord and wall tap.

Excellent condition is excellent condition.
Looking for a phone that wasn't super pricy. I did some research, found the phone I wanted. I'm an old-fashioned and no-nonsense kind of person so I didn't want a new phone that was gonna half in value 3 months into using it. Amazon's easy returns gave me piece of mind, but my main concern was the battery. I waited a little bit to write a review so I can say the battery is still going strong. It stands up well to the Moto 5G UW Ace I had before, which is supposed to have a pretty impressive battery. The only complaint I have is that for some reason it keeps restarting when I put it in my pocket. That could just be some impressive butt-dialing, though. It hasn't caused any issues except having to put in my password instead of opening with fingerprint. No scratches, looked like new, acts like new. It picked up my Verizon sim card seamlessly, and transferred apps, pictures, everything from the old phone over google. The whole transfer process took 15 minutes to set up and then less than an hour to download everything.Good job Amazon! Helped this part-time teen buy themselves something shiny.

Will Not Let You Change Settings, Even When Marked As Changed; DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE
I so greatly regret buying this phone that idk if I'll ever buy another android again. What an incredible waste of money that's just added frustration to my life in the year that I've owned this.I got this for the camera, which is actually incredible -- if you can convince the preset settings to stop activating. And that's the main issue with this phone: No matter what selections you make, it will consistently undo any choices that limit their ability to see, hear, or read what you're doing. Every single time I do an update, I have to turn off facial recognition, fingerprint unlocking, auto-adjustments in the camera, and SMS texting (as the RCS backup option, as opposed to NOTHING; it just won't send texts sometimes if you don't turn this back on).On top of this, regardless of what settings I select and what is on, the screen will always try to turn on when I flip it and when I touch the top, which I do so often that I really needed this setting to work like it does on literally every other phone on the planet. Only Google has the audacity to just ignore settings. It's also super annoying that I don't get notifications until I unlock my phone. So many times I will be sitting and go to check my phone and four notifications pop up, saying they were from just now, but then I go look at, let's say an email for example, and the time stamp is from as long as an hour earlier!I wish I had just bought a nice camera and an iphone, which is what I'm going to do for my next phone. Too bad I'm not an elite who can change their phone every year, so now I'm stuck with this literal spyware piece of crap for at least another few months.

A good phone, a great camera.
I wanted to try a Google Pixel phone. The camera did not disappoint. The phone has all the features I wanted. Gestures for apps, dot notifications, app access from locl screen, plus all the usual android features. It's flashlight is better and brighter than my old ZTE phone that it replaced. An excellent value for the money. My only complaint is the charging cable didn't work, even when plugged into a different wall adapter. I haven't tried to get a replacement from the seller yet, but I will.

A pretty good phone with good features and excellent third party support.
I probably picked this phone more for its good third party support than its first-party features, however, it should definitely be noted that the stock OS setup is pretty clean for the most part. Unlike many that ship with tons of extras that eat battery, steal data (seriously tired of phones shipping with FB/FB Messenger apps pre-installed in the ROM,) or cause conflicts (Samsung...) it's not a huge amount more than a clean setup beyond, obviously, the Google apps themselves. However, what I really like is that as a mainline device it's extremely well supported by third parties, including well maintained LineageOS builds. (As I'm coming from a phone that has a huge unpatched exploit that allows remote code execution with just the phone number I especially appreciate how frequent security patches can occur this way.) Of course, as the 5G model of the 4a, it also has 5G support in addition to well supported VoLTE (so we can make calls on either network with this phone thank goodness.)As a side note, it seems Verizon in particular had vendor-locked models made. These are treated as "unlocked" by sellers because they've been (mostly) SIM unlocked to work on all carriers once their initial service period was up, however, they're not really truly unlocked and can have issues in some cases with international calls and of course the bootloader can't be unlocked because, well, Verizon. If you need a fully unlocked model, it seems it's best to attempt to contact the seller before buying, though not all sellers can make any guarantees.
