Disappointed with this cheap version and often inaccurate, advise to spend a little more if you value accuracy.

Purchased this product as a back up to a Hanna PH meter which I already own.Good points - nice little protective plastic case and ease of calibration although for those with thick fingers, take care to not also press the Cal button when turning onThere are 2 other things which are worth a mention:Firstly, was that although the first 2 parts of the 3-point calibration with the neutral and acidic buffer solutions (sachet of powder provided requiring to be mixed with demin / deionising water) was fine, the 3rd (alkali) buffer solution was not what it purported to be - it was neutral or thereabouts. Therefore, only a single point calibration could be achieved - not an issue as accuracy should still be within 0.1pH. However, it actually reads 6.7 against my Vitalink Buffer 7 solution (so accuracy is -0.3pH).Secondly which is an issue I'd also picked up in a previous review is that there is card saying "Thank You It is our great honor that you purchase our product! We sincerely expect your 5-star review if you would like to do and forward us " This is accompanied by some further text indicating that you Can (NOT necessarily Will) get £30 Amazon E-gift Card. Whether this implausible "free lunch", which appears to be akin to a bribe, is associated with providing a 5-star review of this product, I will never find out!!! But Good Luck to those that have.Consequent to this possible attempt to corrupt the star rating system, I have given this product 1 instead of 2 stars for this "Made in China" product.

Good product, value for money. Reading is accurate and compared with PH paper strips. Instructions are clear and calibration process fairly easy (don’t really understand all the negative comments about this).Certainly for non professional use is a good cheap option and does the job.Will see it’s durability over time.

I’ve had a device very similar to this one before and I had suspicions that my results were not correct so I ordered this.This comes in its own plastic protective case which I loved. You also get calibration powders to mix with water if you should ever need them, great touch to include them, this means I would use these before running to buy another device.On first use I noticed that the results are so much quicker to display and I got a more accurate measurement.I use it for checking ph levels in my koi pond and it works perfectly well.This is the device I’d recommend to anyone needing a ph meter.Even my fish like it. 😊

This appears to give pretty accurate and quick readings. I have to drop the PH of my tap water and this makes the job simple. Place the end in the water, stir a little, turn on and leave until reading settles (can be 30 seconds). Adjust my water with PH solution and then check again. Everything seems to tally between uses and no anomalous readings so far that would make me question its results.

Bought for fishkeeping. Suitable for both beginner and advanced fishkeepers. Really handy size, very portable. Great price. Comes with 3 level calibration pack included and it's accuracy is excellent at 0.01. Clear display with quick, easy to see readings. Seems accurate when tested against liquid pH tests. In summary, cheap, accurate, easy to read and recalibrate ph pen suitable for even the most advanced fishkeeper. Happy to highly recommend. Very pleased with purchase and have been keeping and breeding very delicate fish for over 40 years.

While the button calibration - subject to making up standard solutions at two different pH values, seems like a good idea I much prefer the type where the adjustment is made with the small supplied screw driver.
