Phantom 3 Pro + Polar Pro 3 = Stunning Images 6
Okay, so these Polar Pro filters have taught me that I know nothing about photography. I flew my P3P a couple of times with the original UV filter and thought the image looked great. I had flaring that I compensated for on the fly which, with the slight video lag, turns out to be pretty difficult. Still though, when clouds rolled over the area, the image looked great – I thought. I received these lenses and they screwed on easily. They must have solved the threading problem. I started first with the ND4 filter. The day was partly cloudy, mostly sunny and very bright. I flew for 8 minutes and never adjusted the exposer or shutter speed. I then switched to the ND8 filter and flew another 7 minutes, same time - same place - same route - same Bat Channel. The end results, the video was just stunning. The detail was amazing and absolutely no flaring. The forest was a little dark with the ND8 but only when a cloud passed over the area I was shooting. I live in Vermont by the way so it’s all forest, no civilization, just trees and outhouses are far as the eye can see. Hey! At least we got outhouses. As for the weight, the mass, of the filters; they are heavier than the original UV filter that the P3 comes with but it doesn’t appear to be an issue. I calibrated the gimbal with the ND4 filter the night before. I did, however, get a gimbal overload error when I landed the first time with the ND4 filter on. It was a windy day and kind of a hard landing though. I missed the landing pad and the copter dragged through the grass a little and pushed the lens down, so that error could have happened even with the original UV filter. The second flight with the ND8 I was a little more careful on the landing and didn’t have any issues at all. I will try and capture some images from the video’s to attach here later. In the end, these filters are a must have accessory. They’re inexpensive and you can afford a P3 so, give ‘em a try. You will be amazed at the difference. I never tried the Polarizing lens, sorry.

Weighed the Lenses - See results.
Does anyone know what the included 3 loops of white string are for?I did weigh the lenses on a very accurate scale and got the following weights.Original DJI UV Lens: 2.2 gramsPolarPro ND-4: 3.4 gramsPolarPro ND-8: 3.4 gramsPolarPro Polarizer: 4.7 gramsUsing on a P3A and a P3P. I have had about the same good experience as others here so won't go into that. Great for bright days & general video outside. My original lenses came right off and these go on smoothly. The secret in getting the original off is not to "pinch" it tight but just grasp it semi-firmly with thumb and forefinger and turn counterclockwise.Whether this added weight will have an effect on the gimbal is not known but it's doubtful and I guess one could tape a penny or dime on the back of the camera to balance it out if you are worried about it. The wind, turbulence, and variances in flight work the gimbal a lot more than a couple of added grams. Hundreds of people are using these lens and if there was a problem it would be known by now.

No compromise... Use the best quality filters you can afford.
Why would you put a cheap filter on your expensive bird... Folks... the quality of the filter determines the quality of the image... it's simple. If your images are looking a little soft or off colour - try taking your cheap filter off and reshooting under the same conditions and see if that makes a difference... if it does... get a set of these - good quality optical glass ND filters... my only complaint is that it is hard to find the ND16 by PolarPro - so I ordered the DJI version...If you get these you will need PolarPro's gimbal guard - as the filters protrude from the camera lens and guards designed for the camera without a filter will not fit... In any case - the PolarPro gimbal guard is so superior to the cheapie you find here that it is a no brainer... get the Polar Pro guard.

Work great with Phantom 4, very effective, easy to install, high quality
I just tested these babies out, and I have to say, good job PolarPro. They don't completely screw onto the Phantom 4 lens (once you unscrew the stock one, which leaves a tiny gap in the threads) but I had no worries of it falling off during flight. I flew around for 23 minutes with it, filming and seeing the differences each one offered in relation to the sun. They work beautifully, every one of them. I was a bit hesitant, as a few weeks ago this item only said they were Phantom 3 ND filters, not Phantom 4, but apparently, they work with the P3's and P4's. I would recommend this to ANYBODY who plans on shooting in snow, on bright days (especially at the beach/higher than tree level), and any scenario where the sun is just too bright. The money is 100% worth it; the positive change in footage will have these filters paying for themselves.

Works well, just be really careful
This is a mixed review. The PolarPro Filters do the job, which means you can set your DJI Drone to 24fps at a shutter speed of 50 ,giving you film blur which is a more cinematic look. I actually use gaffers tape and use them on my DJI standard 3 lens. However, I was cleaning one of them, getting fingers marks off and the lens popped right out. I've never had that happen before with filters. So, their build quality must suck bad. Buy them to get the affect you need, just be very cautious when cleaning them.

They make good great, and great phenomenal
This review will be incredibly short and to the point:First, if you own a Phantom 3 Pro or Advanced and you don't own these filters yet, what are you waiting for? To say they make a difference in your videos and photographs would be a gross understatement. They make good great, and great phenomenal! It's well worth the investment.OK, now for a quick negative, but I didn't feel it was enough to not give it five stars: Putting them on is not easy the first time. Watch the video on Polar Pro's web site. Do it exactly how they show it. Once you've removed the factory "filter", and you've put on the PolarPro, exchanging them will be easy. It's just that first time that's a bit challenging. They come with three drawstring bags. It would be nice if they labeled the bags so that it would be easier to find the filter you want without having to open the bag. Again, not enough of a deal to remove a star.Got a Phantom3? Get these filters.

Polarpro Filter

Must-Have für jede Phantom III
Klare Kaufempfehlung, Must-Have für jede Phantom III.
