I have recovered some 18650 cells from power packs. Some of the cells were bad, others could be readily salvaged. However, it the process of separating them, the covers and the positive side round insulators were damaged. These heat-shrink sleeves were the perfect size, good quality, rapidly conformed to the shape of the battery after I applied my heat gun. (A hair dryer worked but took much longer.) I added the green insulators to the battery before shrinking the covers so that they completely covered the positive side of the battery. (Note, the sleeves look too long but they shrink perfectly. Don't cut them. I did at first but they were then too short.) See picture for a completed battery, like new!

Blowing apart battery packs sometimes rips the sleeve. These replacements fit well and are exactly the right size. It would be nice to have plastic washers instead of cardboard. I can usually reuse the washers, so not a big loss. It does not take much heat to make these sleeves shrink. A heat gun on low will do it in a few seconds.

This is an excellent value normally only seen when you order large bulk orders from China . It's real good quality, for the price point it can't be beat.

The insulators are adhesive so they do stay in place. Heatshrinks shrinks very easy, almost too easy. As you can see my heat gun was set a bit too hot and holes appeared on a few. ( I am assuming it was too much heat, will updated later as I use more). They are very convenient to write on before shrinking and it still looks good after shrinking.

These are great. $15. They are not “too long” (if they ever were, I’m thinking they must have fixed it), because to me, they fit and look perfect. If you really think they’re a hair or “2mm” too long, there’s scissors to easily fix it. Also, if done correctly, they shrink very evenly, not ripples as others said, and they don’t “get holes in them” either. If they do, then WAY too much heat is being used. I used a hair dryer set on highest heat, lowest fan speed. Thats plenty hot and works perfectly. The 1 star guy Paul K saying “false advertising” where he got only 50 + 4 sleeves and 216 round sticker thingys, … he evidently got someone’s returned item where they kept most of it. Shame on them, and him as well.

I haven't had any problems with these 18650 sleeves. I've used about 20-25 of them so far to resleeve batteries I've pulled out of old packs. They go on smoothly and shrink pretty well. When you look at them, you'll see a slightly different color where the sleeves were creased but the crease itself does smooth out almost entirely. There's still a bit of a ridge but you can get that smoother by applying a bit more heat, or hotter as long as you're safe about it. For my purposes I didn't really care, these are just going into rebuilt packs or using as spares for flashlights or whatever.I'd say I'd buy these again (and I would) but this set will probably last me a long time since it comes with so many. And the variety of colors works great because I can pick one that's close enough to the original if I'm pairing it up with others. Maybe what I should have done is color code my batteries based on mAh capacity, but I'm not OCD enough for that. I just write the tested mAh on the battery itself with a marker.
