So.. it worked for a whole 5ish minutes before it started making a horrible grinding sound and getting super hot-Next time I attempted it (only used 3 times cuz it pisses me off every time) the noise would go in and out and didn't get hot that time,And the final time- it won't go up past number 3! It completely dies off!! Won't spin, won't make any noise, nothing! You turn it backdown all way and it'll start spinning and grinding something fierce!I am super upset- I've tried emailing soon as I got it and heard nothing back. If something were to change I would change my review! I buy a TON of nail things from Amazon, this is the FIRST issue I've ever had.Soon as I can try to figure out how to do a video I'll put one up!Thanks for reading!UPDATE- Company reached out & offered to replace it- I'm happy that their trying to right a mistake. Again- I liked the design, light is very bright, I've literally got NO complaints except this just randomly dying out. But I've got a friend who's got one and hers is still going strong, that being said they are not one of those 'faulty' company's!Thanks for reading, and sorry so long!

I’m not a professional nail tech, so I can’t speak to the way this machine would perform in a salon setting. I bought it so I could learn to do my own gel nails because I’m a starving artist with kids, and I don’t get luxuries often. This e-file is great for gel nails, but if you’re a first-timer to e-files like I was, I heartily recommend you watch a few video tutorials before you start so you won’t damage your nails or skin. There’s a reason people pay professionals to get their nails done: it requires knowledge and skill. You need to learn first. Once I’d watched tutorials, I had no problem using this file for cuticles, shaping, and gel removal. Start on the lowest speed setting for your first few uses so you can get the hang of it.

Well, I seen some bad reviews but I bought it anyway. I used it 3 times already. 2 for small jobs and once for a full job and during one of those times as I first turned it on the motor slowed down by itself and when I shook the dremel it sped back up and was fine. Sounds to me the motor is wearing down right out of the box.Other than THAT it works. The files are good. I'm a beginner at nails so I wanna say it shapes good too but I'm not that good so they aren't that good but it works. I haven't used the metal bits yet. I'll update this later about that... I DONT like how u just push in and pull out the bits but what do I know.Tl;Dr good machine but we'll see.... update later.:::::UPDATE:::::ALMOST 3 MONTHS LATER AND IT BUSTED. I don't use it everyday like that either. I do my moms sister's and friends nails and mine. That's it and then 3 months later it pooped out. It stopped once but it worked again like a month ago.... but yea. This is a cheap beginner's product.

Hey, I am a BIG fan. I got “pink and white” powder dip professionally- and needed to do my own nails afterwards. ( I also have the ASP gel polish mini nail kit with led lamp from SALLY’s.) BUT taking the polish off - especially after “dip” is a pain. I didn’t want to go to the salon- so I bought this YaFex Nail Drill kit on Amazon after checking out RPM etc. To turn it off - I hold down the on button for a few seconds. One touch reverses the drill direction- hold down longer to turn it off. I got this kit because the light and the stand make a lot of sense even though I store it in the box between uses. My second time to use it was last night and I sanded the gel polish off from last time- lots of gel dust on my tray- but smoothed nails ready to polish. Also, it comes with a little bag of sanding things for the drill. That’s all I’ve needed. I had been pestering my husband to find his Dremel in the garage- and finally said- hey, what’s on Amazon. This is perfect for my needs, and I will save money. I need gel polish for the lasting quality and it makes my nails so much stronger. Also, the deep quality of the shine beats regular nail polish many times over. 😎 obviously I’m impressed.

The media could not be loaded. This efile is exactly what I hoped it would be! It’s light but seems to be well made. The light is bright and flexible, the file itself is sturdy and solid, and even has an extra USB port on the back in case I need to charge my phone or speaker. So far I have no complaints!ETA- the more I use it, I find tiny flaws. No big deal, honestly, more of learning curves than flaws.1- I wish I could SEE if I was in F or R. I have little hands (2 and 4 year olds) that like to come bug me and push buttons. It’s an easy fix and quick to figure out as soon as I start filing, but it would be nice to have some sort of indicator.2- DO NOT put the hand piece in the hole with a bit installed. It will get stuck. There should be a sheath or tubing to protect the inside mechanism so the bits don’t get stuck on the wiring. If you’re setting your hand piece down for a split second, you can’t use the storage hole, or you must remove your bit.3- the light is nice! I wish it was a BIT brighter, or projected more, but it’s not the worst light I’ve used.
