Great Value
I used this to control my garden irrigation system, it’s been running for several months with no issues including freezing weather but obviously it should be protected from frost.

Does exactly what it is designed to do
I needed a 240volt mains water valve servo as part of my latest project to make an irrigation system for my garden. I decided to replace the normal battery powered devices as the batteries failed and almost killed off an expensive potted tree. I also found them ugly to look at and not easy to programme or over-ride. I used one of these valves in conjunction with a 'Sonoff Mini' WiFi connected to Alexa. I can programme schedules and give the watering a top-up. So far everything is working well. In fact I am so pleased I have purchased two more to extend the system.

Noisy
Used it for a garden irrigation system controlled by Home Assistant through a Sonoff device flashed with Tasmota. Works fine but on top of the noise of water running there is quite a bit of mains hum! Hence only 3 stars.Connectors needed are the 1/2 inch tap type connectors. I got a flexible tap connector with the right fitting at one end and an isolator valve and compression fitting at the other. The other side I just got a 15mm compression to 1/2 tap fitting. Both from B&Q.

Not What I Call A Valve!
There is too much restriction and I was expecting a pressure free flow of water.In a household heating system the restriction of this device is total because the water just finds an easier path through other radiators.

Must have pressure to work
Required to switch low pressure water, but did not open fully.

Imperial size.
Took quite a bit of messing around to get them onto modern plumbing. Make sure to get the 15mm version.
