Worked great for the past few years and still going strong
This has run my 3800x and 980Ti for a year or so then the 3800x and a 6800XT for another year and then now my 5950x and 6800XT perfectly. Also some RGB and HDDs so even more power.(my system generally maxes around 600W excluding drives etc).As a test I also ran the 6800XT and 980Ti at the same time and it did run it however the system did shutdown when both were drawing the max power (it was ~300w for 980ti, ~350 for 6800xt and ~105 for cpu so it was right on the limit when including drives, fans etc)I certainly recommend this PSU for anyone looking for a mid-budget PSU that is actually good

Solid Gigabyte 850W PC PSU
As kind of expected, needed to replace a PSU on a recently upgraded PC (personal experience & a bit of internet research would suggest a 500W PSU isn’t sufficient to run a 13th Gen Intel Processor, RTX 3060 & the internet all at the same time 🫣).Like most PSUs I’ve bought, this one from Gigabyte is a robust, heavy beast with 850W of power. Fully modular so you only have to plug in the cables you need, rather than have a mass of redundant cables filling the case.PSU has a good selection of cables including 2x 4 port SATA, 2x 2 port PCI connectors (e.g. for graphics cards), another PCI connector (which appears to have a specialised use), motherboard power cables (incl. the additional ATX one 😉) & a legacy cable to connect your floppy disc drive & an ide hard drive. Mine arrived with an EU plug in the box & a separate UK mains lead included in the larger delivery box.All installed & appears to work as expected & the ‘crashing’ issue appears to have been overcome 😊.

DOA
Power supply was DOA, had two distinct clicks when trying to power on. Putting my ear to the PSU as it was on I could ear electrical whin that sounded bad. I had a risen 5 5800x and an RTX 3080, but the system couldn't even post, I only had the CPU fan installed as the system wasn't in the case yet. After the first time it didn't post I double check all my connectors to make sure I wasn't being and idiot and they were fine, I then took all components out only leaving the CPU and one RAM dim still wouldn't post. After that I double checked the PSU and disconnected everything and then only connect an old Moxel fan I had, then done a power supply test (putting a paper clip in the live and ground wire on the 24 pin connector) and the fan didn't spin. All in all, do not recommend, you might get lucky and get a unit that works perfectly but after further research this product is clearly flawed, with a lot of cases of DOA, and also the OCP being triggered causing the unit to either explode, catch fire or destroy your very expensive new hardware.Be smart, don't go for this unit, gigabyte do make PSUs that are better or you can go for a brand like corsair.

Does what it says and good value
I was put off a little by some other reviews but decided to go for it, and am not disappointed. I'm not a PC build expert, but replacing / upgrading a power supply is quite straightforward - just tricky depending how much space you have in your case. This comes with plenty of connections (way too many for me) and every cable is nicely wrapped. I now have a bundle of unused cables tied together inside the case, as this is not a modular supply. I use it bottom mounted with the fan facing out the opening on the underside of the case - it's reasonably quiet, although a bit louder than the 500w Corsair supply I replaced. IMPORTANT - it did come with a 3-pin UK power cord inside the box (kettle plug) so I didn't need the extra one I ordered at the same time! I use this to power a B550 motherboard with Ryzen 7 5700 and a relatively old GTX 1070 GPU; 2xSSD; 1xHDD; 2x Case Fans; stock AMD CPU air cooler; and an RGB strip. Plenty of power as I'm planning to upgrade the GPU at some point.

Great budget PSU.
80 Plus Gold makes this worth every penny alone, then add on that it is a fully modular PSU. Yep it's great! Not a single issue so far.

easy to build in, strong and quiet
It does its job perfectly running an rtx3090 and a gtx980 together, the only con is it has a bit few 8pin cables as these modern graphics cards all need 2 of them plus the mb needs one that would be five but there were only 4 included and 2 of those were double. while its ok to link 2 connectors on 1 plug, it would be better, especially with powerhungry cards to have their own dedicated plugs. other than that, no issues at all.

Works perfectly with the RTX 3070
I somehow by luck of the gods managed to purchase ab RTX 3070, and then looked down at my 550w power supply and cried... So i ordered this, and wow, well, first of all it works, secondly it is quiet and thirdly (most annoyingly) it turned up 6 hours after the GPU! :P - but is easy to install, comes with loads of spare cables and a UK power supply. A nice little cable bag, a useless info booklet, and a great psu :)(Gigabyte AORUS P850GM 850w 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply) - Well done Gigabyte - wasn't aiming to go your way, but now own your psu and GPU!) :)
