Ms 42 good stuff , get a good gun!
I have painted alot of cars ,trucks ,antique stuff. Also have used what might seem like most brands of paint materials. To get to my point ,when basecoat changed paint and how its applied. At first I was using the standard paint gun ,it was very difficult to get metallic paint on evenly. Then I found out about downflow paint guns using much lower pressure. After reading the guys remarks about getting runs he might want to get current. A good paint gun is not cheap . I would probably use about 15 lbs at the tip with my Iwata lp400 that I only use for clearcoat . Matrix ms 42 is great stuff ,I have used it for alot of completes , as good as ppg

Runs faster than a parent on child support
Professional painter 15 years in the game, this stuff will run fast, used it soem years ago and it kid down like glass out of a Matco 1.3 however used it recently again and man this stuff is runny, almost could not prevent sags with passes and 27 psi out of devilbiss had to stop what I was doing and wait for cure to sand back down to base coat, matrix is a failing brand I’d rather use upol or try ppg when I first started using matrix I was told it was ppg based, I’m guessing someone changed it.
