Acdelco 25199828 Gm Original Equipment Engine Coolant Thermostat Water Outlet Assembly With Seal

This is an OEM part, took care of the problem I had with the thermostat after using an aftermarket which I have to return due to the check engine light coming back on with thermostat code just after 10 days of use.A bit pricey but I decided to go this way to avoid overheating problem with this car which is a common issue in this model due to thermostat failures as I have read all over the net.

Original GM part....was swapping out the OEM factory plastic thermostat. Wasn't quite a direct fit....had two options. Remove the housing from the block, mount the thermostat then reassemble .....or grind off one corner of the metal thermostat so it would match the profile of the plastic one and clear the block.2 mins with the grinder....worked perfect.

It is advertised as: 25199828It arrived in a box saying the part number "25199828".However, on the part there is a different number: 25199829.I am not sure what is wrong.

Seems sturdy, but finishing is not perfect. I had to use a filer in one of the corners to make fit on the tight space where it needs to go.
