Not actual Damascus
For this price, I did not expect real Damascus. Nevertheless, the etched finish is cool looking. Unlike some other buyers, mine came with a decent edge from the factory, and the tip appears to be aligned. It's a fun display knife.

A pretty good knife
It'll work it'll surve its purpose ,it will be a good knife for home self defence or maybe even hunting ,it has an edge on it but not a good sharp edge, I'll have to put a better sharp edge on it and we'll it's probly a good strong knife ,it has a pretty good strong handle for being a wood handle, and you can see in the picture it came with a nice leather sheeth anyway I like it ok but I'm not sure it's exactly the fairbairn, Sykes modle I wanted, so anyway it'll surve its purpose ,I hope this is a good enough review .

Damascus print blade!
So far gor the price it is not a bad knife. Fit and finish I'd give it C+, the blade has 3 of 4 surface bevels ground properly. The Damascus pattern is on the metal looks to be made using a photo resist or something similar to create the pattern via acid etching. In true Damascus the pattern exist due to repeatedly folding the steel back on itself while forging where the surface of each successive layer it slightly harder. finished the blade is breifly acid etched revealing the hard and soft layers. With photo resist a picture of Damascus is applied to the blade then acid etched on to plain steel. The pattern of Damascus is quite literally as unique as as fingerprint! This is is too regular too be actual Damascus.

Workmanship is price worthy
For $50+/- it's not a bad knife except for the edge. The edge while sharp will need at least a compound rub if not two more levels of sharpening to get it where it should be. Excess glue on handle, over sized hole for gaurd and potholes in gaurd steel itself, pommel was damaged on arrival and while the outer mark looks like a drop the center ding could have some from the same drop but looks to have actually caused a fracture in the steel. Could be fun, wouldn't trust it to be "tactical" if your life depended on it as either the steel blade and or handle and or gaurd IS going to fail. There's a reason you should always have a mechanical structure holding things together and without knowing how thin the tang is there's no way to drill and correct the design error. Like I said....for $50 you get what you pay for, decent looking decorative piece.

Decent blade, lacks precision
The steel might be Damascus but it looks almost like it was acid etched to give the pattern it takes a fairly decent edge but the tip of the blade and the centerline do not line up they are off center from each other which makes me think these are machine forged. And the sheath is kinda low grade it could be better
