USC SprayMax 2K Glamour High Gloss Aerosol Clear

I purchased this to give the repaint job on my Yamaha F150 lower unit a water proof seal. For someone who isn't a professional painter this product gave me excellent results and I highly recommend this product. Follow the directions and be careful as the can empties because it will spit when you get close to empty. I would not hesitate to purchase this again as the results were 5 star and shipping was quick. Check out my photos as the lower unit on my motor doesn't look 10 years old anymore.

Definitely better quality and coverage than what you will get at an auto parts store. Left a nice even sheen on my clearcoat failing honda's roof but not exactly a smooth transition down the sides with a light dusting. It took 1 can to do only the roof It might take 6-7 cans to do the whole car. At least this should hold off the progression of the failing clear coat for a while. Depending on how it looks in a year I might consider the hood and trunk next as they are still intact but starting...

I used this product on headlight restoration. The only difference between this and the specific Headlight Clear that Spraymax makes is the latter has an adhesion promoter while this doesn't. The adhesion promoter blended into the Headlight Clear is really not needed if you sand out the lights completely and do a proper clean job - plus this is a way better value as you get almost double the amount for the same price.Spraymax is really the only option for a quality 2K aerosol, but I am not a huge fan of their clear. If you actually follow the directions when mixing the two-part mix and shaking it, you will introduce lots of microbubbles that then need to off-gas and pop before curing. In fact, when I sprayed this clear it almost looked milky from all the microbubbles caused from shaking. I did one light layer followed up by a medium-wet layer about 10 minutes later. Both times the coloration was milky during spray because of the microbubbles, although it did clear up as it cured. Unfortunately there was a decent amount of orange peel with this clear. I sprayed inside of a temperature and purified shop environment. This is one of those "it's not perfect but it's the best product option" situations.Overall I recommend this you need a 2K in an aerosol. I should also mention you need a full respirator with this and only real paint thinner (not mineral spirits) will clean overspray off.
