This gives one an idea of how the people at the time viewed the Swamp Fox. Interesting read.

Excellent detailed book on Marions adventures.

Grear Book

Not a very helpful book. I was looking for a campaign history. Instead, this was a diary of sorts from one of Marian's soldiers. Many obscure names without glossary. Quite disappointed.

Good story about Francis Marion and the Revolutionary War in the South where MOST of the skirmishes ( not really battles) were fought and where the outcome was finally decided when the British thought they could take the South approach easily after stalemate in the North.

I like that some of the letters from Marion’s command are included. It makes reading slow going to follow 18th century writing styles.
