I can't tell you how cool this is! Fascinating to watch the sand flow from top to bottom and the unbelievable "art" this creates. We have had some scenes that look like a great artist, using intelligent thought and a keen eye, has taken days to put together the delicate nuances of the resulting "picture". Really quite fantastic. We will probably buy another that is even bigger. The glass is perfectly clear. The frame is beautifully made. The sands are terrific in color. All in all a great addition to our house and an excellent way to spend some quiet moments watching the creation of a new and never before seen landscape.

I opted for this one over the cheap versions because it looked better and you don't have to inject or remove air with a syringe. However, I got this for my 95 year old father and found out that you have to shake it (like an Etch a Sketch) quite often to reduce the size of the bubbles so it will work properly when you flip it over. Although he can flip it, he can't shake it. So after a week, the sand doesn't fall, the large bubbles hold it in the upper half.If you are getting this for a gift, be sure they are able to shake it or they will be disappointed.

At first it was absolutely mesmerizing to watch the designs forming with every turn, but after few months the air bubbles barrier that held the sand in place and was creating the designs disappeared (lots of air bubbles are gone). Now, because there are not enough air bubbles, the sand just free falls to the bottom in two seconds and there is no more designs. It was great at first, now it's just another disappointment on the shelf.

I had one and got one for my grandson. It’s full of bubbles. Won’t go away. Doesn’t work like it’s supposed to. Try another brand

Everyone in the family (and all who visit) can’t stop staring! Each turn is a new work of art. I was a little hesitant of the price, but this addition to our home was worth every cent.

I bought this for my husband as a fathers day gift. I cannot wait to give it him.
