In previous years past, my dog, Sammie, suffered from year round allergies to grass /weeds which is a problem when your dog needs to go outside several times a day to do his "business". I tried allergy shots, topical meds, special shampoos etc., with no improvement. The $30 shots from the vet worked but only for a few weeks at a time. That is cost prohibitive going that route. After reading several reviews from unbiased testing agencies, I switched over to the Blue Buffalo Grain Free Lamb/Rice recipe. It took several months, but I saw significant improvement. Since then, Sammie no longer constantly chews nor licks his feet all night (which would drive me crazy). Before feeding him Blue Buffalo, I fed him Science Diet and tried other "premium" pet store dog foods, but he didn't seem to eat his food with much enthusiasm. He LOVES this Blue Buffalo recipe and chows down on it as soon as it's put in his dinner bowl. I'll admit, it does have a good meaty smell to it unlike most other dog foods I've tried. Yes, this food is not cheap, but Sammie is a member of our family and I would no more serve him crappy food than I would any one else in the family. Hopefully, if Blue Buffalo doesn't change this recipe, I'll be a customer for the rest of Sammie's life.P.S. Most Petco nor Petsmart near me no longer carry the 11 lb. bag size so I only buy from Amazon now. I prefer the 11 lb. bag because dog food can become "stale" over time so I don't like buying the 20-40 lbs. at a time.PSS Amazon, today my delivery was not made by USPS nor Fedex, but by an independent contractor in an unmarked white van. Delivery man gave me the creeps and since living in a rural area, I really don't like this type of delivery (Thank goodness for my intimidating rottweiler and doberman dogs). I hate that Amazon has now chosen this approach. I know my postal carrier and the regular Fedex/UPS people. Now you don't know who will show up at your door.

Best dry food I buy. It’s so good that I had to start a subscription on amazon because this exact one Beef flavor is the only thing my doggo can eat. Every other brand has given him rashes all over his body, non stop ear infections, slimy poop. For the 9years I’ve fed him this. His fur feels like soft velvety suede, rashes are no longer a thing and ear infections gun.Also keep in mind I mix his dry food with blue buffalo can dog food (beef flavor)Eye ball about less then a cup of dry food, one table spoon of wet food and 1/4 cup of water to mix and give the wet food a gravy like texture.MY DOG WILL NOT EAT HIS FOOD IF HE DOESNT SEE ME MIX IT. Swear to y’all, my dog is one boujie ass pit bull lol. Legit looks at me when he sees it ain’t mixed 😂

Both of my dogs have always had issues with kibble. My french bulldog would get the red eye boogers and lick his paws all the time. My "frengle" would get rashes and have to have his anal glands expressed twice a month (ewww). For almost two years I had them on a completely raw food diet until finances made me need to try kibble again. The lamb version of this product is the only kibble I have found that both my dogs can handle. For two ~30 lb dogs, one 24lb bag gets them through almost 2 months. The bag fits perfectly in my vittle vault 25lb container. I'm very impressed. I haven't needed to take either of them to the vet in almost 6 months and I'm only spending about $25 a month on two dogs (vs about $150 per month to feed them raw or other specialty diets).

i love the fact that my dog is excited to get to this food....not as crazy about the price, though i do like seeing her happy (it’s hard to tell, that that’s her happy face)

My dog is very picky. He seems to like this most of the time. It’s expensive but if he will eat it I don’t mind paying the price.

My dogs absolutely went crazy over this. We have 3 dogs and have used a self dispensing feed bowl because they seem to eat at different times of the day.The first day my husband went down and fed the dogs on his way to work as usual. A little while later I went down and assumed he had forgotten to feed them because their bowl was empty so I fed them. When he came home the bowl was completely empty again (unusual) so he gave them a little more. When he came up and told me what he had done - we could not believe it!I have never seen then behave this way over food before. It was like giving candy to a kid. Maybe they thought this was a treat but they have since calmed down and are back to eating as usual,... but be warned.......... this product is really appealing to my three.

Very picky Chiweenie who thinks he's a cat when it comes to food, absolutely loves the beef flavor! I can't get this in stores so I am so grateful Amazon has it. He was on the chicken but has decided to go on strike against chicken so I was glad to see the beef flavor. And I love the self closed bag because that's another issue with this dog, if the food is old, stale or wet he won't eat it! UGH!!! Thanks Amazon!UPDATE: As of 12/19/21 I have cancelled this order. Dog is in heaven now was very sick. He loved this food and I will be returning the unopened bag I bought before he got sick. Thank you Amazon!

As a long-time dog owner, I am pleased with Blue Buffalo and its high quality products and am a loyal customer now. I had issues with my adopted dog's stomach and skin and tried a bunch of solutions. This kind of dog food was the answer! It is easy on his stomach and his skin issues cleared up. I believe in grain free food for dogs for their overall health. Also, switching him from chicken to lamb really cleared things up. I love Buffalo Blue and recommend it to everyone. My dog loves this dog food. It also doesn't have a strong smell. I store it in a sealed plastic container and it doesn't stink up the laundry room where I feed him.
