Perfect
This actually looks like wood. It sticks very well, so place it on lightly so you can make adjustments, otherwise it’s on for good. It’s strong, not going to tear. It was really easy to apply. Seems a bit expensive, but it works great. I used the light oak to repair bamboo, not the same, but as close as I could find.

This stuff sticks!
They should call this stuff Super Adhesive. You have to be really careful with it because it's difficult to pull it off. If the tape accidently touches together you have to put muscle into getting it apart. I used it to temporarily (for a few years) to cover a strip of Formica on the side of my kitchen counter that was BADLY chipped in 2 spots. I'm really pleased at how realistic looking it is until I can afford my new kitchen.

good tape, doesn't stretch
We used this wood grain tape to replace an original wood grain on a pair of boots we wife adored. We removed the original tape and used this tape to restore the wood grain look. I wish this tape has some stretch so it would conform easier, but it wrapped nicely and cut cleanly with a razor knife.
