Bought in January for my baby.Used most evenings for an hour or two since about March. Unfortunately the battery is shot already! Despite being on charge all night I’ve just turned it on and there’s already a bar missing. This means it’s much harder to use as it needs plugging into the wall all the time so isn’t very mobile. Another problem is that the range isn’t great. Granted, we have an old house with granite walls but it doesn’t reach into the garden despite the fact baby sleeps by a window facing garden. It’s about 10m from camera to monitor but it doesn’t manage it. Can’t get through to Amazon to help despite it having over for 2 yearsOther than that it’s a good little monitor.

I was looking for baby monitor for a while and looking at the reviews for Vtech, I was sure this is the right unit for me. However when I received it, I can say that the video quality is awful. It looks like VGA camera which is very disappointing for this money. All i can say is another camera for £40-£50 will do the same quality. I will be returning it now as not worth at all.Don’t waste your time/money for such a poor device….

Have only had this up and running for a couple of days but am inpressed so far, it has a really clear picture (day and night)with great sound quality, its easy to use and set up although would be more ideal if it had a stand of some sort, my only gripe would be the battery life, it doesn't last very long of the mains which for us isn't too much of an issue as we mainly use it at night.

When it works, it's great-picture and sound quality are fine. Zoom is a great feature and camera is easy to set up and angle to get a good view.HOWEVER it constantly loses signal or shuts itself OFF randomly. During signal loss you would only know if you're keeping an eye on the monitor and notice the red bars or that the movements your child is making are jerky like the frames of the video aren't running smoothly. On a few occasions I've only been aware of the monitor freezing because I've actually heard baby crying upstairs! You then have to either fiddle about pressing in the 'reset' button or turn the parent unit on and off several times until it works again.The parent unit loses battery extremely quickly too-but unfortunately the signal loss is even more likely when it is plugged in to charge!Absolutely NOT worth the money. I'm only persevering with it because I'm carefully checking reviews to make sure the next monitor we buy isn't as useless!!

Not happy with this product for price. Only works if mounted high up wall because camera angle is too small to capture all areas of bed. Stand is not any use unless very small area. So can only be used in one place/ fixed. Night picture is very grainy and indistinct. Instructions for use are also poor. Tempted to return.
