Gilded Cage: A Russian Mafia Romance (Kovalyov Bratva Book 1)

One of my favourite authors and this series got off to s steamy start.Esme is fine but a little fire cracker and Artem is just the Alpha male to keep her in line.This was an easy 5 stars from me.

I enjoyed this book but I thought parts were a bit drawn out with very little happening. There was a lot of ‘navel gazing’ between Artem & Esme in the last quarter of the book. This made it long & I started loosing interest. This meant I did a bit of speed reading! I think it’s worth 3/4 stars & not as good as some of Nicole’s other books. However it’s not put me off reading the rest of the series.

Really enjoyed this book, recommend you give it a read. Great characters and a good story. Covers a multitude of emotions, on to the next in the series.

Esme and Artem - forced into marriage and then forced to run for their lives. Budimir betrayed him and now their lives are on the line-- Can Cillian keep her safe ?? Will he survive/ escape what Budimir has in mind for him ??? I can't wait to read the next installment--- AWESOME read !!!!

Omg couldn't put this book down I just needed to know what happens next I now need to get straight into the next book I have to know what happens next I need to know if they get their happy ending I need to know if Artem lives

I got to 70% and gave up on this book. It had promise but I got bored with it. I hate to leave bad reviews but I can’t understand the love for this book.When the leads met and hooked up, I could buy into it. But after that, their relationship didn’t make sense to me. The author didn’t take us on their internal journey in a way where I could understand why they gave into each other when they did. So it didn’t feel genuine and there was a lack of chemistry.Secondly, like a few others have commented, the main f lead is annoying. One minute she’s weak and scared, the next she’s fiery. But there’s no development in her character, so the change between doesn’t work for me.Thirdly, the really short paragraphs annoyed me. I did get used to it but I found it strange in the beginning.I rarely don’t finish but I have no interest in the couple and knowing it’s a cliff hanger (from other reviews) and so I won’t get any resolve from this book, means I don’t want to continue.

I was up till after 5am reading this book as I just couldn’t put it down. If I could give this book more than five 🌟 i would, another great mafia book from Nicole Fox. Loved the chemistry between Artem and Esme and loved how she always fights back. Now to download the next book.
