Mama B: A Time for Peace

Reading a Mama B book is like sitting down with a good friend!There is always wisdom to be gained and real life situations to see from different perspectives. Nobody but God. Thank you Jesus! And, thank you Michelle for your god-given gift as you share it with the world.

Michelle Stimpson, you are simply wrecking me with your Mama B stories. I have them ALL....just purchased A Time For Peace and trying to read SLOWLY so I can savor the flavor. I am a senior woman, and a writer. I touched bases with you before and now God has me facilitating so many things that bring new life to seniors.Ministering to my peers is delightful. I do several food programs, speak encouragement bi-weekly and live and work in the same senior home.God has blessed me to lead a bible study and I now have my minister's license.All of that aside, I truly love what I do and I was missing Mama B, until I came upon this last one. I could not WAIT to get it from Amazon and when it arrived, I ran down the hall with it like I was running from the law.You have such insight into the minds and motives of us seniors. You must have been raised around some wise women and look, you brought it back to those for whom novels and stories are seldom written. I just love you and I just love Mama B.Besides my bible, Mama B is right on the bedside table with me. I love the way you keep her moving. She is so much like me. Doing and working and traveling...or...maybe I am like her, since she is five years my senior...and got her a husband! Mama B is back! This is such a beautiful story of grace and forgiveness among families. Most people can relate to the pain of misunderstandings, regret, and hurt feelings that festers in families when left unchecked. Michelle brings to life these issues and weaves a tale of what can happen when you put everything in the Hands of God. There are so many beautiful lessons in this book; all told Mama B style.

I absolutely love Mama B. Her fictional experiences very much mimic real life. I always learn something positive from Mama B.

Momma B never fails. True story: I have a girlfriend who was stressing a bit too much on her job for both me and her husband. We were both noticing how much of a complainer she had become; but we both understood it was because of the level of stress she was carrying. So...I purchased the 1st three Momma B books for her and when she started reading them I was hearing good things from her. Her smile returned, she talked less about the job, she had renewed joy, and she couldn't put them down. She told me her husband was sleeping and she was in the corner of the bed still trying to read each night. She purchased the remainder of the 8-book series and now is asking me when will the next book come out! Thanks Momma B (Michelle S.) for restoring joy in my friend.

Another great Mama B story. Stimpson has done it again. Balancing the great mother wit of seasoned saints with the everyday life challenges we all face in this Christian walk, Mama B shows just how hard it can be to live up to the biblical mandate to live peaceably with everyone as much as it is possible. Dealing with and praying for the characters in this story's varied wedding party, Mama B is able to penetrate to the heart of even those who seemed bent on disturbing everybody's peace. This is a good read. You will enjoy it if you love inspirational fiction.

I just finished reading Mama B: A Time for Peace. I absolutely love the entire Mama B series. I get so excited when I see a new Mama B story, and Mama B never disappoints me. I read the book in two days. I didn't want it to end. Mama B makes me feel like I know her personally. She warms my heart with her compassion, and at the same time her wisdom gives me food for thought. I love how Mama B and Frank stay grounded in the word. In this book, my husband and Frank have a lot in common. I am the wife of a recently retired physician. I was delighted to read how Mama B handled challenges with grown kids, Franks business interest, and their differences of opinion throughout the book. I just love reading Mama B. Please don't end her series. Each book has pearls of wisdom to share.

I have read all the Mama B stories and this one did not disappoint. The story is well written and I could not put it down once I started reading. Please keep them coming Michelle!

I love, love, love this series!This book, not only keeps me in stitches it really makes me think about so many situations I've experienced and how I've reacted in the past. Most of the time it's been based off of assumptions and emotions.And nothing was as it seemed all through this series. Which made me question a lot about myself. Now, I am a very new person in Christ probably equivalent to a spiritual toddler (the Lord is working on me and my impatience and constant questions of why LOL ) nevertheless, this is another wonderful entertaining, engaging and edifying read by Michelle Stimpson. Well done, and may the Lord continue to bless you and fortify your gifts in Jesus name. Amen.Oh p.s. I also like the questions at the end also.
