Purchased the thin version for shoes and sneakers. Don't be fooled, nice and durable. Price going up fast. Increased by $1.45 in a month.

Each sheet yields four half protective soles for a cowboy boot size 11D, therefore a bargain for the price. The thickness seems to accurate at 1.2 mm. For dress shoes or women’s shoes you may want less thickness because de protective sole ,once attached, increases the profile of the whole sole a bit. I have glued the pieces to the boots with Barge All Purpose Cement ($9.00) so the repair has cost me around 10 dollars (maybe less if I consider that I have a substancial amount of glue left). If I take these boots to the shop the repair will be 40 or up. Now, if you are not on a budget take it to the shop. The probability of making a mess is “medium to high” if you are not well versed in handyman’s aptitudes :)This evening I will take the boots for a a first walk and I will report if I come back with the soles or without them.Update: The glue holds, the rubber is sturdy and adds traction to the step. 5 stars.

resoled some addidas ultraboost with this. it's around same thickness but seems a little softer, overall it's suitable to give a little more life to the shoes which are really comfortable and broken in, hence why i chose to resole.

I use contact cement to attach patches of this material to the worn-down heels and balls of tennis shoes if the uppers still have life in them. This material would work well for dress shoes, too. The patches on the balls of the shoes tend to come loose sooner than those on the heels due to the greater amount of bending.

I bought this to help add traction (slip resistance) to a pair of shoes for work. The material cut easily, and no issues bonding it to my shoes with shoe glue, but the moment I put on my shoes at work, I felt like I was ice skating. 😬 I tried scuffing up the material out on the sidewalk, and that didn't help, at all.Because of this, I had to go home and miss my shift at work... 🤨

My fault; I made an assumption, based on previous order if a like item. This one has no adhesion like an order I made of smaller ones. My fault, I made an assumption that it would have a pull-off back and then I would stick it to the shoes. I purchased this item because reviews and description mentioned it would make the shoe soles a bit more quiet; I have nephropathy and foot drop and I sound somewhat like a galloping horse when I walk. It looks sturdy, a bit of effort to cut, seems sturdy; I'll see after I purchase some adhesive. Can't return it as I have already cut it.

I bought these to glue to my leather house slippers as they started to wear through. These are so thin I don't even notice they are there. I use Shoe Glue to stick them to the bottom. Will lengthen the life of my house slippers for a long time. Very satisfied!
