I used to play with Wilson NXT Duo II (a Hybrid of NXT & Luxilon Adrenaline); they were lasting me three matches before they popped or were immensely frayed. The guy stringing my racquets recommended I go full poly since I was bringing him my racquets so often. I did that for about a year with RPM Blast. I liked the RPM Blast but missed the feel of Snythetic/Poly Hybrid. I gave these Tourna Synthetic Gut Armor 16G strings a try (in the mains), and they work great. I've popped two sets so far but I knew it was coming, and it had been over 2 months since I last strung them. This is a very soft string that allows for great ball 'pocketing' and spin. I can't imagine anyone being displeased with these strings. They're an absolute steal at this price.

Great for hybrids

I bought this string to use in the crosses for a hybrid setup with poly mains. I had been using full polys and managed to develop some tennis elbow (poor technique probably). It is softer than many multifiber strings and has respectable tension maintenance too. I used a spreadsheet to statistically compare quite a few strings before closing in on this one. This string has a poly wrap and it is supposed to make it last longer. I can't say that yet, but it does allow the poly to snap back into position after shots! I'm very happy with it. I've had it strung up at 59# and the poly at 52# and it's a much friendlier racket. It's been just 3 weeks and 5 hrs court time (winter in the midwest), but it's holding up fine. Slight grooving, no frays and it still feels crisp. Did I mention the price? Don't let the price fool you. This is very good string.
