Lia & Jude
I just love the Ward family and the love and support they have for each other. They’re one of my absolute favorite fictional families. This book has a lot fun dialogue and banter, it’s got a wonderful, supporting family juxtaposed against one that is not so loving and supportive. There’s a lot of emotional baggage these characters must deal with, and it’s well-written.However, while I liked Jude and Lia, I didn’t feel the undeniable, soulmate connection between the two of them. I wondered if they would have ended up together without their surprise baby.Disclaimer: This book was tough for me to read, but it was absolutely a case of ‘it’s not the book, it’s me.’ As someone who has dealt with recurrent pregnancy loss, stories that center on pregnancies - whether they be surprise pregnancies, secret babies, or HEA’s that focus on babies - are emotionally difficult. I chose to read this one anyway, because I love the Wards and Sorenson’s work so much. Sorensen did an excellent job of detailing Lia’s surprise pregnancy from doctors appointments and the first heartbeat to regular produce-size comparisons, to the birth itself. This attention to detail is what makes Sorensen one of my favorite authors, but it’s also, ultimately, one reason I struggled a bit with this book.

LOVED LOVED LOVED!
This series! This series is turning out to be everything I didn’t even know I needed. Karla Sorensen delivers on all the things I love the best: the chemistry, the banter, the sweet steady burn that holds my heart in thrall and keeps my greedy little reader heart hungry for more. Floored delivered on all those things – and more! I loved it so much! I absolutely love the entire Ward family, and this book just solidified that love for them. This family just seems to make me all emotional while reading and this story was no different!I AM IN LOVE WITH LIA AND JUDE!!!! I could not get enough of them. These two were BRILLIANT! They not only had immediate and intense chemistry but they form a deep emotional connection that made them an incredible couple. I was hooked right from the start. I LOVE the surprise pregnancy trope. Add in TONS of chemistry, a great build up, ALL the feels, and a storyline that is so easy, and you have Floored . Just AMAZING from start to finish! This book was everything that I love in romance. There was swoon, passion and emotions that made me want to curl up and cry.Karla keeps outdoing herself and I’m so in love with her writing. Floored was another fantastic read and I am falling deeper and deeper in love with the Ward family. This story was so heartwarming and touching, and the epilogue absolutely melted my heart. I am enjoying every second I get to spend in their romances and I absolutely cannot wait for Isabel’s story!

Absolutely LOVED this story!!
I absolutely love the entire Ward family, and this book just solidified that love for them.Lia is such a strong woman, even if she can’t always see it. When she found out she was pregnant, there wasn’t any hesitation. She knew what she needed to do to be the parent this child needed. Jude, that broken man. He’s had a tough childhood, not the same as Lia’s but tough all the same. For him, coming to terms with impending parenthood was a tough pill to swallow. He’s not used to having support or having to worry about other people. They both make the other question themselves in a great way. They have to ask the hard questions, and it’s not always easy, but they show that it can totally be worth it. They may have started off backwards but watching them navigate this pregnancy was utterly amazing.I love Karla Sorensen’s books, and the Ward family (like I said) is my favorite, and I love that we are getting the girls books. I was so curious about what Lia’s story would be like, and Karla absolutely delivered for my girl! Everything from the characters, the plot you name it, it’s amazing. Karla Sorensen takes the reader on an amazing journey, not only with the characters but with the locations as well. I’ve never been to London, but it felt like I was there while reading this book. She created passion and chemistry between Lia and Jude, and to see their character growth…LOVED!! I also loved how much of the entire Ward family we got in this book. Bring on Isabel’s book, I have a feeling that one will be a doozy!!

Really did not believe I would like this book, even just a little. . .
I REALLY disliked Lia in Claire's book ~ I had her pegged as shallow, selfish, fluff-headed, despite her obvious inclination toward academia. I found myself laughing at her realisms, and the truly realistic, mature way she decided to spend the night with Jude that first time impressed me. She became solid and substantial to me, and certainly more than the selfish, heartless flirt she came across as a book ago. Jude turned out to be so perfect for her that it was hard to not believe in fate, destiny, or whatever else you might want to call several blaring signs from a divine force. Of course, this is fiction, and real life often isn't so neatly wrapped for us. That both Lia and Jude suffered apart meant healthier growth for them -- it never could have occurred had they been physically in the same place. They'd gotten comfortable in a routine of sorts, and, as Lia painfully pointed out, they had also avoided difficult, hurtful, yet necessary topics, information they needed to share with each other. Lia, being from a large, family pack used to being in each other's business and lives, easily recognized that there was a communication problem. Jude never knew how close-knit families dealt with, and loved each other openly. The story's great. Jude -- he's simply perfect, with his masculine beauty and damaged heart, while Lia, who hasn't always been dealt fairly with when young, took her rather cut-throat objectification of men she used to a whole other level, given her youth. She met her match and forever in Jude. Five stars.

Mediocre
I love how this book started. I just found myself getting so bored with Lia and Jude. He is one of the flattest characters I have read In a long time. Two things this book desperately needed- tension. There was really none of this. And it just felt very cliche.A youngish man in his 30’s does not use the word ‘love’ like Jude does at all. He used it all the time to the point it was grating. Throwing that word into dialogue does not make an character British. I wish authors understood this.Honestly- better sports romances out there.

3.5 stars
Not my fav of the series, but it was enjoyable. Did have a pet peeve though, the constant use of "love" at the end of the sentence. Don't know where in the England that is said for basically every sentence but maybe that's just me.

Exciting enough
An ok read. Didn't enjoy reading it as much as I did the previous read but it was ok. There are bits about it that I loved and bits not so much but all the same I'm still loving the series and I can't wait to read more.

Really enjoyed this one
This book is definitely my favourite out of the Ward Sisters series, probably because I'm a Brit and a footie fan. The story is well written and full of ups and downs and I can't recommend it enough.
