they stay where you put them. so far no problems or breaks. they are a little pricey, I think they should give you a few more for the price, but everything seems expensive and I'm old. I remember when you could buy a car for 2 buffalo pelts and sawbuck. those were the days.

A must have for moving
The green bands are the most useful size. These bands saved $$ on packing tape and kept the moving blankets in place.

Hard too use
We didn't use very many of these. They were hard to use effectively. They had to be stretched to their limits to hold drawers completely in. Though none of them snapped, it was scary to use. Used several to secure blankets to mirrors, etc., several people were needed to hold the item while stretching the rubber bands.
