I recently started doing resin projects and wanted to try making keychains and jewelry. I’m used to the hardness of epoxy resin from making large molds. Is it normal for UV resin to feel like pieces of plastic? The kit is still nice for a starter kit. I’ll be trying different types of UV resin to find one that works for me. It’s also worth noting that the resin tape provided does a good job at making sure nothing seeps through open backed bezels. However, the process of peeling the tape off the back of the finished product is tedious. At first, I didn’t realize the tape had to be peeled off and thought the keychain didn’t cure properly. You should really mention the tape issue in the instructions. Also, my uv lamp doesn’t shut off.

Um, this kit is AMAZING! And especially for its price and value! I spent a while trying to determine which kit to get and I'm so glad I settled on this one. It has almost everything you need to make amazing stuff and is super easy. I have been making things non-stop, having a blast, and all my friends and family members are loving it and asking me to make them stuff. This kit is unbelievably stacked for the price too. You can make so so much cool stuff. My only cons I have for it is that it comes with red, blue, and green dyes, rather than yellow, and the button cover on my lamp got dislodged, but I can still press it and use it.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!!!! The package arrived a day earlier than expected, with everything in the description. The light works well, although it does take about 4 minutes to cure past the sticky stage. I noticed in the reviews complaints about the smell, however it is slight, and not unpleasant; to me it smells of pine tar. The resin does smoke a bit while curing, but nothing horrible. Would purchase again, and most definitely recommend. My only slight grump is that the lid on one of the glitter containers wasn't fastened tightly, and some glitter got scattered over the contents, but it washes off with hot soapy water. Edit: humidity and add-ins are huge factors in curing. I have had pieces cure in one pass, others are still sticky after several passes of the uv light. The more dye/glitter/flowers added, the longer it takes. It's a learning process, but would still highly recommend.

The kit itself is great. I like the way that pieces can be made in just a few minutes. I have given it only 4 stars because. The pendants and bezels are all gold. The key rings are all silver and so are the necklace ends. So, in order to make the jewelry, you have to buy gold key rings and necklaces with the gold connections. To use the silver key chains and necklaces, you have to buy silver pendants and bezels.

For the money, this is a great little kit. The UV light is pretty much useless, so go ahead and order a good, higher wattage one, but otherwise I am happy with the purchase.

To be honest in my opinion the kit is nice and it’s easy to use, but I’m not liking that particular brand of UV resin that comes with it. It seems to me that finished items comes out sticky or the UV lamp that comes with it melts the resin. I still have some resin left because that’s just how bad it is to me. If anyone have any suggestions please feel free to reply.
