An effective continuation of a seminal show.
This is a very interesting addition to a seminal and highly influential show, presented in an unlikely, yet effective format. The story differs from the narrative of the 6 part season 10, in that it harks back almost entirely to main plot devices from earlier seasons, mainly those aired in the mid nineties. I was actually quite intrigued by some of the story developments and the reintroduction of characters (in transmogrified forms) that I was not expecting to be present at this point in the shows' development. The reinterpretation of mythology issues presented in Cold Cases proved to be quite spooky indeed (pun intended for fans of the show). Although not all voices are those of the actors that played characters from the filmed version of the show, the core remains present, with Mulder, Scully, Skinner, Cigarette Smoking Man and even The Lone Gunmen all being reprised by their respective acting talent. I listened to all 4 hours of Cold Cases in one attempt and was very well rewarded for doing so. I have been an avid fan of the X-Files since the mid nineties and look forward to the next instalment, the now confirmed 10 part season 11!

I am enjoying this audio book a lot, as I listen with a grin too big for my face as the characters are brought alive again by the "original cast", which on the whole is, really wonderful. My heart skipped it beat when I heard the name "John Doggett". I almost quivered in anticipation of some smack-bang-wallop to kick off, but it promptly sank as he wasn't voiced by Robert Patrick! I hope he gets to be in Series 11 or other X-Files audio books. :]

music to my ears!
I'm 3hrs into this audiobook. So far I'm really enjoying it! I wasn't a big fan of the TV series but watched it on and off over the years until returning to it just before the latest season came out.As a audio drama it works very well, I like the episodic nature of the story it works like the TV show. The character acting is great and having the original cast reprise their roles is awesome.I'm already looking forward to the next audiobook in the series out in September. I'd really recommend this to any fan of the TV show, but newcomers to it might find the links back and forth over the 9 or 10 seasons difficult to understand

First time purchasing or using one of the books, I'm listening to it using "Alexa" and I'm still getting used to the features otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Really enjoyed this. I've taken to listening to audiobooks on my walk to work in the mornings and I found Cold Cases to be very engaging - I got so caught up in it sometimes that I arrived at work before without really remembering the journey. Found Mitch Pileggi's voice acting particularly convincing, but all are good to very good - regular cast and the lesser-knowns alike. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Couldn't download it.
I'm guessing this would be ok because I never heard it. I couldn't figure out how to download it. I loved the X Files so I was disappointed to not hear it.

Three Stars
A decent listen for what it is, but rather short.

Painful to listen too.
Surprised at the ‘phone it in’ quility of direction and voice acting. When I read Dirk Maggs had been involved I expected much better. Couldn’t get to the end of it.
