SHINHAN Professional Watercolor Palette -35+2 Colors-Polycarbonate

The media could not be loaded. The reason I got this was A) it has a lot of space for many colors, and B) they say it has a special texture that holds the paint even after it gets dry, and I have on occasion seen big chunks of dry paint fly off other plastic pallets I have used. Since I’m using all Daniel Smith Paints now, a chunk of paint flying off that’s five bucks lol. it’s a great palette . It’s got lots of space for mixing colors. on the negative it doesn’t really open that easily and you really have to pry it open. Then when it opens and makes a snap that is like what is going on here is it gonna break off? I saw other reviews it say after a while it will not close properly. I’m actually looking forward to that stage since I can’t really open that easily lol I picture it being a lot more fun, keeping it close with a rubber band and opening it easily by removing the rubber band, and I hope that day comes sooner rather than later.footnote: I have been using this for about a month now, nearly every day, today, while painting, one color smidgen did release from the surface in a block. but that’s the first time I’ve seen that the rest of the colors in the rest of the time remaining stuck on the plastic. i’m using it mostly in studio now so I do not open and close it but when I did close it recently, it’s still hard to open so I’m still looking forward to that breaking, so opens easy.😂👍

I highly recommend this palette. It keeps the paint in place by the etching on the palette which the water color grips. I dont know if it is leakproof I havent tested that but it has alot of great features and is easy to mix colors in.

Very professional compact folding watercolor palette! The Polycarbonate inside surface is nice and smooth for mixing the watercolor paints. Just like in any other watercolor palette, you can leave the previous mixed colors on the inside of the polycarbonate surface, and they'll stay there for you for the next time you are ready to paint. Also allows you to add an extra "insert" palette to the inside of the top cover, giving you an additional 18 more wells! (extra cost purchase of course ... for just under $10 bucks!)Sincerely..... I like the palette however, after using for several months the lid does not snap shut. I am disappointed and would like a replacement.Judy Weiss

Only wish they made a bigger one. Worth every penny.

Love this palette. Nicelythought out design. Especially with the insert palette added ( separate purchase). Small patch of light texture on wells to allow paints to adhere more readily. Sufficient mixing area. Like the two circular mix areas.Closer snap could be better but it works.

I love this thing but I end up leaving it at home a lot because it's 12" which is about 2" longer than most of my bags. I have larger bag I use when I need to bring it, but the portability is rough. I realize this is meant for a home studio but watercolors need to get outdoors once in a while!
